3.39 average is low. This is a solid wit all around. A very nice spiced note and strong citrus and corriander flavors for me. Creamy white head. A very nice wit.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 jcr (1624) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - JUL 6, 2009
750 ml. A bit on the sweet side, but a declicious, well-crafted wit nonetheless. Iniviting pale golden hazy body with a big white head that sticks around. Spicy aroma of clove and coriander mixed with some citrusy lemon and sweet pineapple. Hint of floral hops and toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter and lightly tart. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet, lightly bitter and lightly to moderately tart. The spicy flavors and forward tartness continue into the aftertaste, nicely separated from the sweetness. Medium body with a watery texture and prickly carbonation. Clean and refreshing.

Bottle. As a huge fan of everything Ommegang, I was pretty excited to try this one out. It pours a great hazy yellow gold with a great thick white head. The aromas include citrus and spice with yeast, but there was a definite skunky note, which was very offputting. The flavors are nice, typically Witte flavors, and the palate was very refreshing. If there hadn’t been the skunky note of the aroma this would be a much higher rating.

Besides IPA’s/DIPA’s, Belgian Whites have to me by next fav and this is a great interpretation. the spices were not as heavy as an allagash, but noticeable enough, finishes great, im liking ommegang more and more.

Bottle. Pours a nearly opaque hazy gold with a medium white head. Light orange and lemon with a touch of coriander and fruity wheat. Medium body, but a little lacking in the flavor department, coming up with weak wit flavors. Finishes light and crisp with a touch of wheat and yeast.

bottle. really nice Belgian Wit beer... pours a nice light golden color with a big 2 finger white head. big citrus, spice and yeast notes on the nose... big effervescent body on top while very light and airy on the bottom... lovely tart lemon finish with a burst of spice. not my favorite style, but this one is solid.

750, c&c from Bottle Barn. Pours dirty gold with a bubbly white head. Aromas of citrus and maybe clove. Carbonation gives a creamy mouthfeel. Flavor is citrus and something nice, but not clove. Finishes clean and refreshing. Pretty much as advertised.
