On draft 8/7 at Boston Calling music festival. Pours hazy golden blonde, was poured and sat on table for a minute so not sure how the head looks. Nose is hay, spice, citrus, wheat. Taste is spicy, citrus, farm, nutmeg, cinnamon, apples. Finish is peppery, spicy, citrus. Saison-esque. Good summer beer for a sunny afternoon.

I really like this beer. Light and refreshing. Pours a hazy pale yellow. Lots of head and good lacing. Wheat with some citrus. Somewhat sweet fruitlet finish. Refreshing.

Bottle. Better Beer Of The Month Club. Cloudy pale yellow with a big white head. Wheaty aroma, citric and spicy with some coriander and light fruity esters. Spicy flavor, a bit sweet, with wheat, citrus and a drier finish with light tartness and a mild coriander spiciness. Medium-bodied, fluffy carbonation. A good refreshing Witbier.

Hazy lemon body with a big foamy head. Aroma of clover and coriander, yeast, lemon, wheat. Taste of lemon, yeast, spice, wheat, bread. Lemony palate. I donít like witbeers, but this is nonetheless a good one.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Fast dissipating white head. slight hazy yellow pour. Smells of apple and lemon flavored taffy. Almost too fruity. Some bananas, yeast, funk and spice as well. Tastes very strongly of lemons... almost a shandy here. Still is tasty with a great palate of acidic dry and soft at the same time.

So I was at Bareburger and saw "Ommegang" on the draft menu. I asked the waitress which Ommegang it was but she wasnít able to give me a good answer. Decided to order it anyway and try to figure out the mystery. After doing some research, Iím 99 percent sure this is what I had.
Pours a very hazy straw color yellow. Aroma is mild wheat with some mild citrus. Beer was very carbonated. Tastes of again mild wheat and mild citrus. Weak bitter finish that doesnt last long. Beer is very smooth and easy to drink, but the flavors are weak and subdued. Maybe that has more to do with the style than the beer, but it just didnít click with me. Meh.

A great witte bear! Has a nice classic golden haze color with a slight banana nose. A very mild hop touch goes along nicely with the fruity finish. If you like wheat beers this is an excellent drink!
