COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ommegang Witte, a traditional Belgian-style wheat ale with whispers of sweet orange and a touch of tart lemon. Soft and seductive, Ommegang Witte is this summer's version of spicy intrigue and refreshing flavor.

750ml bottle poured into a tumbler. OW pours the color of grapefruit juice with a surprisingly small head That leaves light soapy lacing. The aroma is very subtle with hard-to-find notes of lemon. The body is medium-to-light and slightly oily. The flavor is hard to pin down but lemon grass, wheat and yeast are present. The finish is a tad tart. This is a very drinkable beer that could be an easy standby favorite but it is not anything exceptional.

Draft in nyc. Wonderful strong wit that is solid flavor without sickly sweet. Banana of course but spicy and refreshing. Well done, quenching.

pours clear for some reason, which i wasnt expecting from a wheat beer. large effervescent head. typical of wheat beer, tastes of yeast, citrus and some banana. not bad, but not very flavorful.

Nice wheat ale. Light and refershing. I enjoyed a 750ml bottle on 12-25-08. Not spicy, but refreshing.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy straw color with a really big head and subtle aromas of grass, citrus, and very small amounts of cloves. Flavor is a bit stronger, but still rather muted. A little bit of a yeasty wheat presence, some grass and lemon and just the slightest hint of cloves. If you are looking for a big aggressive beer, this is not it. If you want to sit and introspect about beer, this might be worth trying.

Have had this from the bottle... Poured hazy yellow with a thick, frothy, white head. It is a pretty decent white beer. Sweet citrus and clove flavors that are dominant with the Belgian white style. If you are looking for a Hoegaarden alternative, this will certainly do it.
