COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ommegang Witte, a traditional Belgian-style wheat ale with whispers of sweet orange and a touch of tart lemon. Soft and seductive, Ommegang Witte is this summer's version of spicy intrigue and refreshing flavor.

only slightly cloudy. yeast nicely portrayed in the nose but still moderate. some weizen characteristics of light fruits and yeast. sizzles on the tongue. not the most complex style, this is certainly not the most complex example. easily drinkable and far from irritating. still, a weak showing from ommegang.

750 mL bottle. Slightly disappointing. I would still go for Hoegaarden over this. Pours with a great white head, cloudy bright yellow with a heavy scent of yeast and cloves/coriander/orange peel. Very refreshing and light but a little too sour and watery. I’m still a sucker for white beers but this was not up to par.

An opaque golden brew with a short white head, this wheat beer has just the right amount of citrus notes with a the crisp lightness that suits the genre and especially the summer.

750ml bottle. Cloudy light straw with a white head. Citrus and spice aromas. Medium body with a big mouthfeel. Slight tanginess. Very refreshing.

Not a big wit drinker. But for the style, this is fine. Lots of summer in it. Fresh. Orange.

Bottle. Pours a gigantic frothy head, pale golden and opaque. Very bubbly. Bright citrus and wheat smell. Fairly thin bodied, which is a nice contrast for the thick flavors of lemons and spice. Fades into a gentle bitterness.

Pours a beautiful gold color with gorgeous thick head. Aroma of coriander, orange peel, sugar and a hint of peppermint. Strong flavor of lemon; I couldn’t realy get past that with the taste. Certainly not the most well-rounded flavor I’ve had in a wit.

750ml. Slightly hazy yellow, lacy white head. Somewhat light-bodied with sparkling carbonation. Coriander spice and citrus taste, generally sweet and refreshing. Maybe a bit of orange marmalade. Following the label instructions, I kept the yeast in the bottle for most of it. Pouring a bit in at the end makes in tangy and earthy and less refreshing.
