2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Poured into a tumbler in late 2013.
A: See through light yellow. Quickly receding head.
S: Citrus, wheat, coriander.
T: Follows the nose. Subtle flavors, though. Also has a familiar Ommegang flavor that is in many of their beers.
O: There are many better wits than this one out there. It was just too subtle for me.

Great Wheat beer from Ommegang. Pours golden and slightly hazy with a nice head. Slightly spicy citrus aroma. The wheat is center stage in the flavor but some fruity and spice in the taste comes up as well . But nothing too complex. Nice light carbonation with an easy finish. It’s definitely an easy beer to drink.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Yeasty aroma combined with citrus and lemon notes. A mild tartness with tastes of crisp pear and spicy cloves. Good level of carbonation makes the finish slightly peppery. Clean and refreshing wheat beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle pour. Pours a big fizz pale golden color with a patchy head. Very gentle lemon and herbal aroma. Lemon and sweet belgian yeast front flavor with a smooth, refreshing cool finish. Overall a nice beer. Good for a Belgian like beer with no real intensity to it. Enjoyed this.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Serviceable wheat. Some spice and slate, and a touch of bubblegum, but otherwise a bit pedestrian (as the style can be). Easygoing and won’t be a challenge for the novice.

Tap at Yard House Mpls. Hazy golden in color as expected from a wit. Aroma of citrus and coriander. Taste is really enjoyable. Citrus and banana complement the wheat but not overkill. Like a significantly better Blue Moon that doesn’t cater to middle aged women. Pleasant spiced finish that maintains this beer?s easy to drink nature. This is one of the best breweries running and their wit is no exception.

Another single from total wine and from the most ratings and available to me list as well. More on the fruity side of the equation. Not as much spice or yeast but the fruit is nice.

From a 12 oz. bottle: Poured slightly cloudy straw with a sturdy meringue-like head. Aromas of bread, funk and citrus. Flavors are bready wheat and orange citrus with a good coriander bite on the finish. This is one of my favorite styles when well-crafted, which this one certainly is.
