Ommegang Witte, a traditional Belgian-style wheat ale with whispers of sweet orange and a touch of tart lemon. Soft and seductive.

Pours straw gold , cloudy, with a nice creamy head. Citrus, yeast, wheat in the aroma. Tastes floral, spices, citrus and vanilla, almost a hint of banana. Fairly well carbonated, almost seltzer-like. Enjoyable on a hot summer day.

BOD 4/9/14. Slightly hazy golden pour with a nice head. Nice lacing and only normal retention. Nose of Belgian yeast, lemon, orange and spice - probably coriander. Light medium body with a somewhat slick texture. Above average carbonation that imparts a nice effervescence on the finish. Laid back flavor profile that is balanced and has a bit of complexity. It begins with tart lemon over orange, progresses to a bit of spice and ends with a light biscuit cracker. The finish is effervescent and leaves you with a light tart bitterness. A bit more flavor intensity and this would be outstanding.

Aromas of yeast, citrus, and coriander. Pours a straw hue with a polite haze and supporting a quickly dissipating white head and no lacing. The taste is citrus, bread, yeast, and seltzer water. Medium light body and moderate, but crisp carbonation. Overall, light, crisp and very drinkable. The taste is subdued.

Straw, pale, cloudy, thin white head, and decent carbonation. Mild wheat, mild sour fruit, and mild citrus aroma notes. Medium bodied, mild spice, wheat, and mild sour fruit, and mild bitterness. Dry, decent balance, and tongue tingler. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a light golden color with a short white head that quickly dissipates to a ring. Belgian spice, mild banana and green grape bouquet. Very smooth, wet mouthfeel with just the faintest burn on the rear of the tongue. Mild flavors of what’s noted in the bouquet. A bit of a freezer burn taste too.

From a bomber. Pours a cloudy, light yellow and creates at thick, fluffy white head. Smells of lemon, oranges, wheat, and coriander. Very light taste and meant to be drank colder than your typical IPA. Great beer for summer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Transfer from BA review from 6-6-12- Served in a 10 oz chalice glass Appearance – Served a hazy yellow color with a medium white head. The head faded moderately fast to give only a small amount of lacing. Smell – The smell is largely of lemon and yeast. There are lighter smells of some wheat and a ever so light amount of biscuit. Taste – The taste is very much as is detected in the nose and very classic of a witte. IT starts out with a lemon wheat bread taste. As the taste advances some of the yeast detected in the nose comes to the tongue. As the yeast enters some of the wheaty flavors lighten and the lemon seems to intensify a bit more. A lighter banana flavor also comes to the tongue. At the very end the lemon mellows a bit and a light spice and pepper flavor leave a spicy lemon yeasty taste on the tongue. Mouthfeel – A lighter body with a higher level of carbonation. Very fitting and refreshing. Overall – It is an easy drinking witte. It is a little on the drier side without a lot of sweetness. It is rather refreshing but nothing I would consider to be amazing.
