Pours a hazy pale gold with a huge creamy white head that lasts, and develops some nice lacing ans it settles. Aromas of citrus, spice, and lightly roasted wheat. Spicier than the standard wit, but not overly spicy. Nice honey and citrus flavors. Refreshing and crisp. Not bad at all!
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 illidurit (1274) - Santa Cruz, California, USA - MAR 31, 2008
Poured into a Duvel tulip. Just about the same golden color as the label. Huge white head that leaves gobs of lacing. Smells citrusy with rindy lemon and orange. Lots of spice too. Flavor is heavily spiced as per the norm with Ommegang beers. Lots of coriander and some clove dance atop tart citrus. Refreshing mouthfeel and high drinkability.

Bottle. Pours a hazy pale yellow color with a longlasting white head. Has a fruity spicy wheat aroma with some hints of citrus. Sweet spicy coriander flavor with some hints of orange and citrus. Sweetish spicy wheat finish with hints of citrus in the aftertaste.

From 750ml bottle, that indicates this is good now, or good for cellaring (?) Pours a very bright golden, with a characteristic hazy appearance and a robust white head. Aroma is heavy on the citrus (orange being predominant) and wheat...some spice, but nothing overwhelming. Flavor is very sweet and citrusy...more lemon/orange than the majority of Wits I’ve had in the past. There’s some coriander and possibly a bit of clove in the flavor as well, and it is a good drink if not overwhelming (I’ve had better Wits) Definitely a refreshing drink that goes down easy. Not bad...

One of my least favorite styles. Cloudy pale yellow with a large white head. Yeasty aroma with hints of wheat and citrus and malt. Big carbonation. Spicy flavor with a tart finish. Unappealing.

Purchased 750ml at Willow Bend Liquors. Pours a cloudy golden with a one-finger white head. Smells of spice, cloves, hints of coriander and tropical fruit. Flavor: sweet, slightly tart with hints of lemon, orange, and fresh flowers.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Beershine (4561) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - MAR 7, 2008
UPDATED: OCT 10, 2008 Pours hazy, cloudy, no head to frothy head, depending on glassware. Smell is straight-on banana with a sprinkle of lemon zest. OK maybe some lemon curd too. Mouthfeel is nice, not sticky, not fizzy, just right. A sweetish example of the style, but finishes clean and dry, fruity, and spritzy too. A very good, sweet but clean wit.
