Fiannly a Witbier that can be in the same league as Hoegaarden. Had a 750 ml bottle of this stuff and it was divine. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Harsh near the end, but a good time overall.

A bit disappointed by this Belgian White. Had it off the tap at Monk’s in Philly. Hazy yellow color with a good head. Banana aroma throughout. It was good but just didn’t set itself aprt from anyother BW I’ve had.

Hazy, cloudy, and fizzy - but all in a good way. It’s kinda cool having a Belgian brewery in New York state.

Hazy light pineapple yellow color - light fizzy white head. The nose is light citrus with a hint of banana. A light yeastiness and lightly spiced. The body is spritzy with a light yeastiness and a bittersweet yeasty middle. Finishes with a light citrus note.

Cloudy and hazy bright yellow-orange color, spicy, earthy citrus aromas, nice white frothy head that lasts and leaves some lacing in my glass.. Fresh tart orange and mild spice flavors, crisp carbonated mouthfeel, finishes clean and crisp, a very refreshing and drinkable brew.

Cloudy light yellow body, thin off-white head dissipating to a ring of carbonation. Strong tangy wheat aroma with orange peel for good measure. The yeast really permeates the flavor with fairly strong banana for a witbier as well as spice. The orange peel and lemon are more or less subdued, and the wheat leaves a bready tanginess on the palate after each sip. Yeah, it’s a good witbier.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 igneous1 (1467) - Davenport, Iowa, USA - AUG 14, 2004
color is a very cloudy pale yellow, head is THICK and white and creamy, aroma is very acute with the spiciness (nutmeg) and moderate lemon qualities. Flavor is virtually the same, some lemon, very sharp spiciness, and a little bit of wheatiness. there are slight notes of black pepper as well. not a bad wit...i was expecting it to be a little better though.

Pale yellow with a nice white head. Lemon aroma. Lemony with just a little spice. Good summer beer.

Wow, two nights in a row, two good white beers. Gotta love that. This is a nice beer. Then again, I have yet to have a bad Ommegang brew.
