Commercial Description:
Ommegang Witte, a traditional Belgian-style wheat ale with whispers of sweet orange and a touch of tart lemon. Soft and seductive, Ommegang Witte is this summer's version of spicy intrigue and refreshing flavor.

Good stuff. High carbonation, thick head, lemony aroma. Little if any coriander comes through, and little orange character. But true Belgian examples take pride in their uniqueness. This one has an assertive lemony presence, with some undefinable spice. Quite good nonetheless. This is a good brewery.

Pours a beautiful gold color with gorgeous thick head. Aroma of coriander, orange peel, sugar and a hint of peppermint. Strong flavor of lemon; I couldn’t realy get past that with the taste. Certainly not the most well-rounded flavor I’ve had in a wit.

750ml. Slightly hazy yellow, lacy white head. Somewhat light-bodied with sparkling carbonation. Coriander spice and citrus taste, generally sweet and refreshing. Maybe a bit of orange marmalade. Following the label instructions, I kept the yeast in the bottle for most of it. Pouring a bit in at the end makes in tangy and earthy and less refreshing.

Pours a cloudy golden body with a strong, foamy white head. Soft wheat, some lightly bitter citrus, very smooth. Nice refreshing example of a style I don’t typically enjoy so much.

Cloudy yellow pour with thin white head. Nice spicy wheat aroma. Subtle taste of orange and yeast. Very fizzy on the tongue, almost burning. Decent effort.

not much haze and not great head retention. flavor of a mild pale malt and wheat component, a little hop bitterness and just mild orange peel and coriander component. the yeast is the best part, providing some subtle intricacies that makes the beer very enjoyable
