Ommegang Witte, a traditional Belgian-style wheat ale with whispers of sweet orange and a touch of tart lemon. Soft and seductive.

So I was at Bareburger and saw "Ommegang" on the draft menu. I asked the waitress which Ommegang it was but she wasn’t able to give me a good answer. Decided to order it anyway and try to figure out the mystery. After doing some research, I’m 99 percent sure this is what I had. Pours a very hazy straw color yellow. Aroma is mild wheat with some mild citrus. Beer was very carbonated. Tastes of again mild wheat and mild citrus. Weak bitter finish that doesnt last long. Beer is very smooth and easy to drink, but the flavors are weak and subdued. Maybe that has more to do with the style than the beer, but it just didn’t click with me. Meh.

Beautiful golden color and white head , more clear than most wheat beers. It has a distinctive wheathy flavour but not too flower like , I love the balance and I would have more than one of these any day

Perfect witte that pours with a beautiful head and aroma of orange and a twinge of spice. No fruit neccessary!

Boom bang in your face it is not. A subtle good quality witte. Beautiful whispy cloud like head. Ommegang are the kind of company that get me excited about beer, top quality. Stick this next to a Coors and tell me again why Coors sells fifty times as much? Ommegang are a class act.

Poured into a tumbler in late 2013. A: See through light yellow. Quickly receding head. S: Citrus, wheat, coriander. T: Follows the nose. Subtle flavors, though. Also has a familiar Ommegang flavor that is in many of their beers. O: There are many better wits than this one out there. It was just too subtle for me.

Bottle - Light hazy yellow pour with an oversized head. Lots of carbonation. Eggshell aroma and taste. Some lemon and cloves in there as well. Light spicy finish.

Great Wheat beer from Ommegang. Pours golden and slightly hazy with a nice head. Slightly spicy citrus aroma. The wheat is center stage in the flavor but some fruity and spice in the taste comes up as well . But nothing too complex. Nice light carbonation with an easy finish. It’s definitely an easy beer to drink.

Yeasty aroma combined with citrus and lemon notes. A mild tartness with tastes of crisp pear and spicy cloves. Good level of carbonation makes the finish slightly peppery. Clean and refreshing wheat beer.
