valpoaj (287), Valparaiso, Indiana, USA Mar 24, 2008 From 750ml bottle, that indicates this is good now, or good for cellaring (?) Pours a very bright golden, with a characteristic hazy appearance and a robust white head. Aroma is heavy on the citrus (orange being predominant) and wheat...some spice, but nothing overwhelming. Flavor is very sweet and citrusy...more lemon/orange than the majority of Wits I’ve had in the past. There’s some coriander and possibly a bit of clove in the flavor as well, and it is a good drink if not overwhelming (I’ve had better Wits) Definitely a refreshing drink that goes down easy. Not bad...
37steel (186), St. Charles, Illinois, USA Aug 28, 2008 750ml bottle. Cloudy light straw with a white head. Citrus and spice aromas. Medium body with a big mouthfeel. Slight tanginess. Very refreshing. drfabulous (704), Columbia, Missouri, USA Aug 26, 2008 Not a big wit drinker. But for the style, this is fine. Lots of summer in it. Fresh. Orange. scoth (9), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA does not count Aug 23, 2008 Bottle. Pours a gigantic frothy head, pale golden and opaque. Very bubbly. Bright citrus and wheat smell. Fairly thin bodied, which is a nice contrast for the thick flavors of lemons and spice. Fades into a gentle bitterness. ebowman (8), Seattle, Washington, USA does not count Aug 18, 2008 Pours a beautiful gold color with gorgeous thick head. Aroma of coriander, orange peel, sugar and a hint of peppermint. Strong flavor of lemon; I couldn’t realy get past that with the taste. Certainly not the most well-rounded flavor I’ve had in a wit. McGarnigle (164), Rochester, New York, USA Aug 17, 2008 750ml. Slightly hazy yellow, lacy white head. Somewhat light-bodied with sparkling carbonation. Coriander spice and citrus taste, generally sweet and refreshing. Maybe a bit of orange marmalade. Following the label instructions, I kept the yeast in the bottle for most of it. Pouring a bit in at the end makes in tangy and earthy and less refreshing.
