DTM (404), Winters, California, USA May 8, 2008 Bottle from the Liquor Barn in Redding, CA. Poured a very dark amber and smelled of toffee and carmel. This is a full-bodied brew with hints of carmel . The rich flavors came out even more and the beer warmed up a little. Great brew.
chandler0201 (139), Durham, North Carolina, USA Nov 27, 2008 Pours amber color with thick tan head. Sweet aroma of caramel and some fruit. Flavor of malts and hint of alcohol in carbonation. Excellent. penguinjive7 (67), Buffalo, New York, USA Nov 21, 2008 Pours a deep amber color with a foamy, tan head.
Smell is of sweat malt with many fruit notes intermingled.
The malt caramel-like malt is the first flavor to hit the tongue followed by a slight alcohol presence. The fruitiness comes through in the finish to truly bring all of the flavors together.
The carbonation is crisp and body is full but not thick by any means.
This is a great sipper that I would gladly sip from again. Definitely a great pick.
