Congratulations, you have just managed to get your hands on Russian Roulette - a rare kind of collaboration between Evil Twin Brewing (Denmark) and OMNIPOLLO (Sweden).

This beer would best be described as an IPA with a twist. A twist that will reveal itself first after you "bust some caps".

One thing remains sure however, if you like hops and the lush texture of a well crafted beer this will have you smiling as you face your destiny.

Good luck,
Jeppe (Evil Twin Brewing) and Henok (OMNIPOLLO)

0.5l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. This is a blurry almost pale golden one, lots of particles floating about in the glass and a small quickly side sticking just off-white head. Some thin citrus on the aroma. It feels a bit mellow almost. Could be the fact that the bottle is almost a year old now... Lightly peachy with some sweet carrots and something light grassy. Fair enough. Itís really grass-bitter on the taste! Lots of citrus zest bitterness also. The carbonation is average and the mouthfeel is thin oily. Feels a bit to bitter and almost unbalanced. Also lacking the fruitiness I had hoped for, but itís not bad tasting in any way what so ever. 31.03.2013

500ml bottle. This beer was a gusher when opened, lost 1/3 of the bottle. Pours a hazy gold color with one finger frothy white head. Aroma of citrus hops, grapefruit, and a hint of sweet malt. Flavor is dry piney and citrus hops, citrus juice, and slight malt.

Uploading old ratings that were missing comments. Got the IPA version. Supper hoppy dominated by pine and citrus. Great full mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle @ beertemple. Aroma is fruity and floral hops, slight sweaty touch. Flavour is medium hop bitterness with loads of flavour, fruity, floral, nelson madness. Some malty notes but itís the hops that shine here. Great stuff.

In short: A minimally malted, dry, somewhat yeasty, sharp and very hop-forward golden IPA. For hopheads.
How: Bottle 500ml (or whatever 1 Pint 0.9oz means), consumed as fresh as I could, one week after purchase, but thatís after the boat ride to north-america.
The look: Partially cloudy golden-orange body topped by a large white head with good retention and leaving lots of lacings on the glass.
In long: Nose is piney hops, floral hops, orange peels. A frank and bright inviting hoppy nose. Taste has a subdued shy crackery malt backbone, omnipresent yeast, dough, all kinds of hops flavors that bring dryness and bitterness (dry pine tree, dried orange peels, dried flowers). Finish is medium bitter, a bit of acidity and very dry, the type of beer you want to drink a sip of water after each sip of beer. A fun beer for hopheads. I didnít care for its sister beer (the Black IPA called Evil Twin / Omnipollo Russian Roulette) which I drank fresh in Norway, so I was pleasantly surprised to find its sister beer more enjoyable after a long boat ride to north-america. A bit too sharp and abrasive to be really sessionnable but I enjoyed it nonetheless because Iím a hophead. And surely the person who came up with the actual Russian Roulette game must have been very drunk, but never as drunk as the dude who came up with the Russian Alphabet.
