lusikka (6027) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUL 19, 2014
375 ml bottle. Vertical tasting with the US version. Pours a slightly hazy yellow colour with a white foamy head. Aroma of rich Mosaic hops, herbs and brett. Flavour of rich citrusy bitterness, very juicy mango, watermelon, some herbs and Saison yeast. Medium bodied and quite soft mouthfeel. Finishes citrusy, juicy and fruity. Crispy bitter and fresh when compared to the US (Prairie brewed) version. Enjoyable as well.

375ml bottle, vertical with the Prairie version

Pours hazy yellow with a smooth head. Aroma of stingy tropical fruits, bretta, grass, citrus and lemon. Taste is funky yeasty, fruity, hoppy and grassy with notes of citrus, lemon and grapefruit. Finish is fruity hoppy, slightly tartish and funky with some hints of bretta and yeast. Pretty nice, funky and hoppy, feels almost like a bretta IPA. Feels quite fresh compared to the Prairie version.

Bottle. Pours a golden straw yellow with a frothy, large-bubbled, white head. Aroma is loads of lime rounded up with other tropical fruits like grapefruit, lemon, papaya. Taste is a lot of lime again with some grapefruit, dry. Some saison-like spiciness in the background. Hops dominate. Light with fairly strong carbonation. A summer drink. Where are those 7% of alcohol?

375ml bottle (green paper) pours clear pale golden straw yellow with 2 finger head. Nose is bright earthy lemon, hay, wheat, straw, grain. Taste is sinilar with some rustic pale grains and lemon juice, honey, white grape. Finish is dry, white wine, grape, lemon, grain. Not a ton of brett presence. Nice.

Draft to snifter. Looks good for the style; a cloudy light gold with fomy white head. Smells yeasty and damp/bretty with notes of Mosaic hops. Tastes like it smells with a nice, dry mouthfeel. A bit of a pleasant herbal presence as well. Enjoyable.

Draft at Edmunds Oast. Bright deep golden pour with a fluffy white head. Big juicy tangerine, kumquats, ripe peach with touches of yeastiness. Very smith body with massive amounts with dry hopping, but not very bitter, just juicy hoppiness. Moderate in carbonation with juicy body. Goddamn tasty.
