Flaska systembolaget. Gyllengul kulör med blommig lätt stallig doft. Fruktsyrlig och spritsig doft med färskt gräs och lite äpplekart. Fin fatkänsla i gommen.

330 ml bottle into tulip glass, best before 3/6/2019. Pours hazy golden orange color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big grapefruit, lemon peel, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, pear, apple, white wine, oak, peppercorn, honey, cracker, herbal, hay, grass, musty funk, and yeast/oaky earthiness. Fantastic aromas with great complexity and balance of fruity/funky/spicy yeast, wine barrel, and pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, lemon peel, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, pear, apple, white wine, oak, peppercorn, honey, cracker, herbal, hay, grass, musty funk, and yeast/oak earthiness. Good amount of earthy/peppery yeast spice and light tangy/tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, lemon peel, pineapple, mango, white wine, oak, peppercorn, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Light-moderate dryness after the finish. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/spicy yeast, wine barrel, and pale malt flavors; with a great malt/tartness/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, fairly crisp, and lightly acidic mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an awesome wine barrel brett saison. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/spicy yeast, wine, barrel, and pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A highly enjoyable offering.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a combination of flora, wine and a bit of funk with a bit of sweet grain underlying. Flavor has a dry wine note up front with a good amount of sweet grains and a bit of flora.

Mine must be old. It’s very, very sour, with a hint of dried cherry, only a hint, and a metallic note. Oh well, it happens every once in a while.

Bottle @ home, thanks to Lukaduke for sending! Served with five gummy bears. Slightly hazy, bright yellow orange appearance with a medium sized, cream colored head. The aroma is spicy and brett forward with a bit of plastic, a fair amount of tropical fruit, and white wine. Pretty damn dry. A little more of a plastic taste in the mouth. Mangoes, pineapples, and oranges in the flavor. A hint of tartness. Overall, pretty enjoyable though the brett strain they used tastes like plastic.

11.2 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. Pours a hazy copper color with a white head of foam. The aroma has grassy, peppery, oaky, pilsner type notes. The taste has moderate funk, but still maintains that Pilsner resemblance. There is a bit of ester influence as well. Crisp, medium body. Medium carbonation.
