Glass at the Bier Abbey on 7/1/13. Pitch black pour with a huge light brown head. Aroma of malt, chocolate, raisins, maple and caramel. Chocolate and caramel flavor with more chocolate and slight maple before a roasty and sweet mocha finish. Very impressive.

Draft at Eulogy. Pitch black pour. Starts with a large creamy dark brown head that left lots of lace. Notes of burnt coffee off the top. Very silky texture. Unsweetened chocolate. Brandy cordial. Maple syrup. Shoe polish. Leatherette. Charred plums. Motor oil. Darkly sweet like an Imperial but the burnt bitter flavors balance it nicely. Body is not so much creamy as thick, silky and syrupy. A very impressive Stout!

Incredibly bold, thick, meaty and very complex example of the style.. Very sweet, fruity, and roasty with a super concentrated flavor that reminds me of an even more forward Even More Jesus. A real sipper on a cold day, this one will really warm you up, and leave your palate ultra satisfied.

Sample from 650 ml. bottle. Pitch black with a small, tan head. Sweet aroma with roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and vanilla. Some cocoa and licorice. Taste is sweet. Full body, super creamy texture. Finishes dry and roasted with cholate. Lovely stout however, did not pick up any maple syrup.

On tap at The Pine Box. Aroma and flavor is espresso, licorice, maple syrup, and dark chocolate. Lots to digest on the palate, really a lot to take in. Heavy mouthfeel and the maple and espresso hit at different times. Little bitterness left on the tongue, but this is my kinda drink. Excellent beer! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught in Saratoga at merry monk. Black brown pour. Malty aromatics and chocolate. Boozy but good.
