Koncentrerad profil. Försöker anstränga mig till mitt yttersta för att känna lönnsirapen men förgäves. Det är mycket koncentrerade smaker här. Lite synd att inte lönnsirapen är lite mer tydlig tycker jag.

Bottle at Chris O’s pre-GBBF shindig, 2013. Black pour with a tan head. Dark roast coffee and dark chocolate aroma. Tobacco, coffee and dark chocolate flavour. Smoky-sweet finish. Totally my bag. Lovely stuff.

Pitch black color with small brown head. Nice roasted malt aroma, coffee, with light phenol. Full bodied, with very good flavor of roasted malt, dark chocolate, moderate sweetness, hints of liquorice, a bit salty in the end; strong bitterness, the hopping is also resiny.
Got already many beers like this, but it’s very good.

Bottle at ChrisO’s pre-GBBF Shindig 2013. Opaque very dark brown, thin tan head. Nose is yeasty Marmite (yeast extract), old wood barrel, dark chocolate. Taste is very full flavoured. Yeasty, Marmite, salty, bitter dark chocolate, black expresso coffee. Lots of black coffee bitterness with saltiness.

Bottle. Opaque black liquid with small to medium, firm tan head. Nice lacing and head retention. Aroma of coffee, red berries, maple syrup, bitter chocolate, bread, toast, toffee and light ash. Taste is light to medium sweet and medium bitter with notes of coffee, maple syrup, toast and sweet alcohol. Medium to full bodied with low to medium carbonation. Nice.

@basunen: doften är lite klen men oj vilken smak. Härlig tjock vätska full av kaffe och choklad. Otrolig len och fin balans. Silkeslen. Såååå god. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours deep black with low dark, reddish tan head. Aroma of molasses, muscovado, chocolate, roasted malts, lightly earthy. Taste is initially light sweet followed by a balanced bitterness. Finish is lingering coffee bitter. Body is rich and creamy with soft carbonation.

Tap at Provisions Market in Orange, CA. Ink pour with wicked red foam. Big staining on the glass. Nose is mega fresh spruce and spicy forest needle. Almost like this was Gin barrel aged. Fresh juniper. Taste is mega rich, silky, spicy with dry body. Some Gin heat flashes. Surprisingly good. Dry, dusty palate. Melted dark chocolate up front, very bitter, with a incredibly dusty, dry finish. Not papery thankfully. My RIS loving wife gave it the thumbs up.

22 oz. bottle shared by dudeabide. Pours dark brown to black in color with a small khaki head. The aroma has roasted malt, dark chocolate, maple, caramel, coffee, wood, some alcohol. The flavor has chocolate, roasted malt, dark fruit, maple, coffee with some spice. Syrupy, with some booze over top of everything else.
