COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Omnipollo Fatamorgana (8%). Drawing inspiration from the fidelity of a saison - rustic, alluringly cloudy and crisp - this double IPA was brewed using oats and wheat. Dry-hopped twice and completely untouched post fermentation to preserve aroma and flavor.

22oz bottle - Aroma - big citrusy aroma, full of grapefruit and orange/lemon combo. Malts are there, kept in check but caramel is present. Appearance - golden yellow body, some haze to it, 4-finger head, above average retention and excellent lacing. Mouthfeel - medium carbonation, full mouthfeel Flavor - fruity palate, peaches and green grapes, medium bitterness, but nicely balanced by the sweetness. Finish is long and bitter. Overall - it’s good, but there are IPA’s available that are 1/2 the cost, and deliver a focused punch of hops. Gets knocked down a few pegs for the costs and the contents, although tasty, it doesn’t warrant a near $20 of beer.

Transfer from BA review on 2-24-14- Poured from bottle into a snifter Appearance – The beer pours a super hazy orange amber color with a nice two finger head of white foam. The head has a good level of retention, slowly fading to leave a moderate level of lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma of the beer is huge of a grapefruit hop smell mixed with tons of wheat. Along with these aromas are some lighter notes of a yeasty smell bringing along with them some notes of clove and coriander. Lemon peel and a bit of bread round out the smell, overall producing a thick hoppy bread smell. Taste – The taste begins thick with tons of wheat bread tastes along with a strong yeast cake showing. Straight from the start there is a big hit of a grapefruit hop. The grapefruit really picks it up as the taste moves on with it becoming more and more bitter. All the while the grapefruit picks up a light pine companion, helping bring a bit of more resinous hop flavor to the brew. Throughout the taste some lighter spice flavors develop on the tongue with the wheat growing even more potent and a bit grainier. In the end, with all the flavor transitions that occur, one is left with a thick and wheaty rather heavily grapefruit bitter taste to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is thick and chewy with a carbonation level that is on the average side. The thickness is quite nice for all the wheaty flavors of the brew with the moderate carbonation rather nice for balancing the brew and hop, all the while keeping it quite drinkable. Overall the feel was well done. Overall – A nice thick and chewy wheat IPA overall. While not quite worth the price it was well worth a try.

Mmmm, nykter i flera veckor och sen trillar den här ner i knäet på en, man tackar. Smaken var härligt fruktig med inslag av grapefrukt och fläder, kroppen var stabil och balansen var seriöst närvarande. Slutsats; mumsfullibibbla!

Hazy, but somehow very good looking, bright yellow colour. Sweet hoppy and tropical aroma comes even outside from meters away. Taste is very fresh sweet tropical fruits, citrus, grapefruit, pines and resin. Bitter and crisp, medium bodied mouthfeel. Finish is very bitter, crisp and dry, with more grapefruit, pines and resin. Alcohol is very well hidden. At the moment, this just hit the right spot, absolutely delicious and fresh dipa!

Tap at CBC 2014. Beer in the glass light yellow, small head. Mild fruity aroma. Starts bitter-hoppy, fruity with notes of grapefruit, light salty. Finish more dry. Okay.
