COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Omnipollo Fatamorgana (8%). Drawing inspiration from the fidelity of a saison - rustic, alluringly cloudy and crisp - this double IPA was brewed using oats and wheat. Dry-hopped twice and completely untouched post fermentation to preserve aroma and flavor.

Translucent orange/yellow with barely any head. Aromas of grapefruit, flavour follows suit. Loads of bitter grapefruit, wheat, tart and bitter. Long lingering finish. Okay, but not as good as I was expecting.

Tap. Buxton Tap. Gold, with a light haze. Thin, dense, sticky, white head. Flaked wheat on the nose. Fresh hop. Bready malts. Taste is astringently bitter, that sits uneasily with the saison character. Sticky mouthfeel. Fine, soft carbonation. Finish is long bitter, with some syrupy stickiness on the lips. A bit at odds.

Bottle consumed at Cropredy, Fairports Annual Reunion Festival 2015, Thurs 13th, Friday 14th and Sat 15th shared with Craig. Really hazy beer, looks like a wheat beer, hazy gold. A smidgeon of perfume, hoppy front end, furry. Lingering bitterness, lots of citrus but also wheaty, taste lasts for a while I’m the mouth. Enjoyed this. A7 A3 T8 P4 Ov15 3.7
