Omnipollo Fatamorgana (8%). Drawing inspiration from the fidelity of a saison - rustic, alluringly cloudy and crisp - this double IPA was brewed using oats and wheat. Dry-hopped twice and completely untouched post fermentation to preserve aroma and flavor.

White gold pour, lightly misty. Lavender and rosemary herbal crunch right away. Garlicky Nelson-like pungency rounding the edges. Intriguing stone fruit colors of pear, yuzu, lychee exist quietly in the margins; herbal zestiness, bordering on soapiness, tends to overpower the dry-hop fruit. But it’s consistently unusual and charming, offering a hidden world of herbs and flowers. Malt arrives with the punchy tartness of wheat; some of the herbal components have to be tied to this as well.

Dried pineapple, with resin and more lavender, wildflower honey herbal quality. Mango skin, sweet garlic, and pear; the flavor is really a close mirroring of the aroma, fascinating in its outer-corners fruit and herb sensations while maintaining familiarity. It becomes clear that if there was such a thing, this might be a great version of the ill-fated imperial white IPA style.

The weight of the palate seems to reveal the cumulative, negative effect of the wheat presence that provided so much fun in the earlier arenas; herbal zest becomes a bog of soap and overripe banana as the beer warms and the texture becomes burdensome. The creaminess provided by the oats doesn’t bode well with everything else happening here. Ultimately, the first half of the experience here with its unusual but focused range of flavors and aromas, is enough to surpass the cloying herbal weight that takes over later on.

Pours straw like color, very muddy, haze, with white foamy head. Aroma; intense hop aroma with notes of citruses, like lime, grapefruit, supported with tropical fruits like lychee, mango, avocado, pineapple....with straw, wheat, crispy like malt note. Flavor; very, very similar to aroma, but for sure aroma is the strongest part. Finish is dry, bitter, bitterness is slightly high and lingers long in aftertaste. Body is moderate medium, texture is soft, creamy, carbonation is soft. As all beers made by Henok, they are unconventional for old styles, namely he made bridges betwen them. And for sure he is very good Architecture and Builder.
