On my way to this iconic brewery with a suitcase full of marshmallows I admittedly questioned my good judgement. However, sipping on a glass of this beer I am utterly happy that the purist in me stayed at home.

Omnipollo Hypnopompa is an imperial stout brewed with almost 100 kgs of marshmallows and Tahitian vanilla beans (the size of cigars). Virtually no carbonation and boiled a bit extra for good measure this is a beer strictly for the stout inclined.

Batch #1 intentionally has no carbonation. Batch #2 has low carbonationd and cold extracted Hafursa coffee.

Drink now or age for many years.

Piwo czarne lekko metne z niezbyt obfita bezowa piana. W aromacie kawa, czekolada i wanilia.

33cl bottle. Black with a very small head. Aroma of this beer is lots of chocolate, vanilla, lots of cream, freshly roasted coffee, maltose. All very deep. Mouth feel is very soft with almost no carbonation. Forgot about the alcohol that is present. Flavor is well balanced with a long , bitter like toasted coffee finish. It’s still a well balanced and very creamy beer. The sweetness is comparable to sweet coffee with honey or maltose and lots of cream. Overall very pleasant and satisfying .

Sampled from 0.33 l bottle, shared by sjogro at Not THT, thanks! Pitch black with a light brown head. Sweetish-malty, moderately roasty aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, some vanilla and a bit of licorice. A bit sweet, moderately roasty-malty taste of lots of coffee, dark chocolate, some licorice, toasted nuts, licorice, hints of dark red fruits and some vanilla, followed by a medium long, rather roasty-bitter, a bit alcoholic finish. Medium to full body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite nice, but not really the way I like it.

Shared bottle at Not THT. Black with almost no head. Deep roasted dark malts. Burnt marshmallows and coffee, light ash. Big sweet, mild roasty bitterness. Medium body, almost no carbonation and a supple feel to it.

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Black with beige head that leaves a thin film and some big bubbles. Big roasted notes with coffee and some cocoa, even some ash. Than some dry earthy notes, caramel, soft vanilla and light wood. Over medium sweet with big roasted coffee bitterness. Almost full bodied. Massive coffee but not that much vanilla actually.

pours clear, black oily color, with almost no, or better, half finger high brown, espresso coffe, head. Aroma: very intense coffee, note, vanilla, cocoa nibs,.. flavor: intense espresso coffee note, supported with notes of port wine, vanila, cocoa beans, hint of licorice, peat..in the background are hop flavors, which takes on citruses...finish is slightly sticky dry, bitter. alcohol warmth is not noticeable. Body is full, carbonation is soft, texture soft.
