COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
On my way to this iconic brewery with a suitcase full of marshmallows I admittedly questioned my good judgement. However, sipping on a glass of this beer I am utterly happy that the purist in me stayed at home.

Omnipollo Hypnopompa is an imperial stout brewed with almost 100 kgs of marshmallows and Tahitian vanilla beans (the size of cigars). Virtually no carbonation and boiled a bit extra for good measure this is a beer strictly for the stout inclined.

Batch #1 intentionally has no carbonation. Batch #2 has low carbonationd and cold extracted Hafursa coffee.

Drink now or age for many years.

Pour out of 11.2 oz bottle, thick oily black pour with thin dark head, aroma brought notes of roast, ash, some vanilla, hints of dark fruits into some lactose, sugars, some slight chocolate as well. Taste was a mix of dark chocolate, coffee, roast into slight ash, dark fruits, nice sweet vanilla and milk chocolate with some sugary notes, finishing fairly sweet, thick. Pretty tasty.

Bottle. Colour...basic black with a corpulent tan head. Nose...boozy, burnt sugar and charred marshmallows with a slight smokiness. Palate...big, brawny and robust with roastiness. Massive bittersweet chocolate descends on the palate straight away, along with the tanginess that can come with such chocolate. Mid palate is dense and dry with cocoa mass and fire pit pmarshmallow. The finish is quite lengthy, bittersweet and sharp with bonfire.

Tap @ Chmielarnia. Pours black, small beige - to - brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, tons of coffee and dark sugar. In taste it’s seriously sweet, velvety, with sugary aftertaste. Definitely a bold, potent imperial stout, lacks something to combat the sweetness.

Bottle to glass. Pours a deep brown color with a tiny rim of light brown head. Aroma is very pleasant, light roasted malts, cocoa, marshmallow. Flavor has a bitter burnt roasted malts to it, a bit astringent. Thin in the body. Had such potential! I bet the BA version smooths it out a bit.

Pours opaque sable with a thick and rather persistent tan head. Aroma has bold roast malt, coffee and vanilla tones, as well as some miso - couldn’t get any marshmallow, but we shall see. Er, taste. Which does have a hint of marshmallow, though mocha, roast malt, vanilla and earthy notes are stronger. Mouthfeel has good body and fizz. Well, I kinda like my beer carbonated - but chacun a son gout. Unfizzy or low fizz, enjoy!

Bottle from Whole Foods PM. Could not find a batch number, but is low carbonated, so I think Batch 2. Pours thick, jet black with 1-finger tan head. Nose is roasty dark malt, cacao, coffee, molasses, nuts. Tastes creamy, densely malty, with notes of cacao, molasses, coffee, pepper, a creamy sweetness evoking marshmallow, and a smooth, almost nitrogenated mouthfeel with amazing complexity. This one is a standout.

Tap (VI FDP). Barwa czarna, piana brazowa, cienki kozuszek utrzymuje sie do konca.

Bottle shared at Cafe Sara
Pours black with no head. Smell of liquorice, tar, dark dark malts and roast. Heavy sweet, liquorice, dark malts, vanilla, the marshmallows come through now. A beer for sharing. Very nice stuff

Bottle shared pours like used motor oil with dark brown head. The aroma is dark deep roasted malts, plenty of dark chocolate, vanilla and sweet. The flavor resembles the aroma plus a lot more. Oily chocolate vanilla roasted malts and sweet of the marshmallows and alcohol burn. Very very good beer.

Backlog, bottle from batch #1. Pours jet black, no head, simply a brown ring next to the glass. Aroma is thick, full of malt, slight chocolate and vanilla, slight bacon and smokiness. Taste is again full of malt, sweet vanilla hints, a slight smokiness, finishes medium bitter with roasted, sweet and bitter tones. Full body, zero carbo, sticky and oily texture. Very good! 33 cl is enough though, it’s very heavy (in a good way).
