Tired of talking my friends into pit stops at beer bars before heading “out” - in fear of having to drink bland lager all night - I set out to craft an ale that would act as companion throughout the evening. Leon is assertively hopped and fermented dry using champagne yeast. The yeast and the hops in combination with a simple malt bill provides the beer with a quality of being rich in taste yet refreshing.

75cl flaska. Härligt gyllene och lite grumlig i färgen. Doftar citrus och lite för mycket jäst. Pigg och frisk i smaken med lagom mycket beska som hänger kvar. En riktig favorit som jag dock tyckte bättre om första gången jag provade.

This beer is in my opinion so good that it should be forbidden. Without a doubt the begs belgian ale I've ever had.

Nice off-yellow, hazy, nice foamy head. Crisp citrus aroma, very pleasurable, lemon carries over to the drink, and finishes nicely. Not earth-shattering, but enjoyable.

Poured from a bottle. Cloudy yellow color, medium white head. Nice hops smell. Taste as though they used chlorinated water with good central hops to make the beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma of citrus and hops, cloudy copper colour, with a nice head and good lacing. Bitter taste with a hint of citrus rind. Bitter palate not to distinctive.

Pours pale in color and with very foamy longlasting head. Aroma is dominated by Belgian style yeast and subtle piney/citrusy hop notes. Taste is dominated by hops and a little bitter. Very very thin body which is not a bad thing in this case. A very refreshing beer, definitely something for the summer months!

Sorry for the primitive rating from the mobile phone: Draught. Fruits, yeasts, citrus and caramel. Sweet taste. Finishes dry. Good one.

Bottle. Got this from the guy at The Beer Authority in Seattle ’oh the house’ becuase he said he wasn’t so into it. I rather enjoyed this honestly. Nice champagney aroma with a mix of grains. Bit hopped up in the flavor, but nice and champagne style dry on the finish. It’s not loud, but it works well with the brew. Like Deus, just less expensive and not as round.

UPDATED: FEB 17, 2014 Bottle. Hazy orange with a small, thick white head. Tropical fruit and belgian yeast in aroma. Taste has bitter hoppiness, yeast, slight malt and pepper notes. Medium body, high carbonation. Dry and refreshing. Short dry after taste.
