COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tired of talking my friends into pit stops at beer bars before heading “out” - in fear of having to drink bland lager all night - I set out to craft an ale that would act as companion throughout the evening. Leon is assertively hopped and fermented dry using champagne yeast. The yeast and the hops in combination with a simple malt bill provides the beer with a quality of being rich in taste yet refreshing.

Yellow, lightly cloudy with nice white foam. Aroma of fruit, mango with a hint of sour bread in the background. Mild taste of sweet fruity caramel with a grape fruit sweet growing bitterness in the aftertaste. The taste is a bit of a disapointment from the aroma

Bottle. Pours all hazy intense orange with beautiful white head. Aroma is grainy saison, citrus, zesty, yeast, hops, some bready malt, peach and slight bubblegum. Taste starts sweet with peach and turns more citrusy. Orange zest, yeast, dry hops and malty background. Finish has citrusy hops, dry and some grass. Aromatic finish too. Smooth and mellow mouthfeel.

75cl bottle! Pours really hazy peach amber with a bog, white head. Aroma has lots of dry belgian yeast character, funk, dry citrus peel, hops, pale malts. Taste is mellow but tasty. Fairly sweet and fruity, some citrus, slight funky and hoppy dry finish, but overall very smooth.

Bottle in the Buxton Tap House. Hazy golden with a big off white head. Sour citrus aroma. The taste is citrus and yeasty with moderate spice and bready notes. Some caramel too. Really refreshing and very good.

75cl bottle. Pours slightly cloudy amber, lots of unstable foam. Hoppy nose for a Belgian Ale - This could also be an IPA.

75 cl systembolaget. En öl jag hade riktigt stora förväntningar på. Men det blir ingen fullpoängare. Smakar en del belgojäst och ölen tar sig men inte mer.

330ml bottle from Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours hazy gold with exuberant white head. Aroma is sweet with light marzipan. Taste is soft, doughy, sweet, wit-like with an interesting yeast influence. Rich, slightly boozy and stronger-tasting than 6.5%.

Bottle from Archive Beer Boutique 090515. Poured with a really big white head that collapsed to leave white lacing on the glass. Hazy in the glass. Hoppy with citrus flavours, lemon rind. Yeasty aroma with some citrus thrown in.

Mine must be old. Massive...as in I can barely pour this thing....head. Taste is yeasty, some malt sweetness, a little lemon and spice. Big miss, but not the beer’s fault is my guess.
