COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tired of talking my friends into pit stops at beer bars before heading “out” - in fear of having to drink bland lager all night - I set out to craft an ale that would act as companion throughout the evening. Leon is assertively hopped and fermented dry using champagne yeast. The yeast and the hops in combination with a simple malt bill provides the beer with a quality of being rich in taste yet refreshing.

FROM NOTES: August 8, ’12 Poured on draft at The Trappist into a Trappist tulip. A: A distinct yeasty-phenolic Belgian note and some citric notes with faint hints of minerals, hay and sweet bread. A: Poured golden yellow with two finger white head that subsided to a minimal amount very slowly. Maintained excellent lacing throughout the glass. T: Strong, copious citrus (grapefruit) flavors, a bit of yeast, more hop flavor than the nose suggests, and a hint of malt in the finish. P: Medium to full bodied while carbonation is smooth and medium strong. O: An interpretation of a BPA with an American hoppy twist, this is a unique and extremely refreshing dry beer, my favorite from Omnipollo.

Bottle from Craft Beer Co Islington. Very pleasant indeed and a lovely end to a day of big hitters! Was expecting it to be too sweet but very well balanced between citrus, malt and champagne yeast presence. Good rounded and bitter finish. Very good. Could drink this all day.

An interesting beer to say the least. The champagne yeast used is present in both the aroma and the overall taste. Interesting flavor, with just enough hop bitterness. 4-5 (If not more) finger head, that have a more airy feel and look than other ales. Refreshing carbonation.

Luktar citrus. Mycket skum. Sträv i munnen. God. Både lite USA och Belgien på en gång.

Flaska från SB. Ljust bärnstensfärgad med hög krämig skumkrona. Doft av svarta vinbär och kryddnejlika. Framträdande beska i smaken med en fyllig munkänsla. Torr avslutning.

Bottle from Systembolaget. More hops than other Belgium beers. Very good. Good value for the money.

Vilken överraskning. Visste att den var bra, men så här bra? För 50:- är det ett kap! Champagnejästen är påtaglig, 6.5% som mer känns som 5%, lättdrucken är bara förnamnet. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

10/6/2013. From bottle. Pours hazy light amber with a large white head. Aromas of citrus, pine, yeast, light fruit. Bitter and tart right off, lots of hops blended with fruit and yeast. Pretty good ale.
