330ml bottle from Bierkompass
Pours yellowish orange with a small foamy head. Aroma of yeast, earthy notes, hints of spices, fruity hops and malts. Taste is fruity and hoppy with yeasty notes, hints of spices and farmhouse. Sparkling carbonated finish with some bitterness and fruity hops. Okay, quite nice hoppy Belgian ale.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 mjakopa (102) - Maribor, SLOVENIA - SEP 28, 2012
Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow with quite a bit of head. Aroma is hoppy with some earth tones and hay. Taste is quite carbonated with a full body that is somewhat sweet and hoppy, but the aftertaste isn’t really a winner. Goes into some oily, citrusy and bitter finish that doesn’t balance the taste too well.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Jur (146) - NETHERLANDS - SEP 26, 2012
Draught @ BeerTemple, Amsterdam
Pours pale, slightly hazy yellow. Little head. Nose very "saison": ureum!
Tasty: tangy and yeasty, the sour is manageable with a nice dry, slightly bitter finish. Reminds me of Farmhouse IPA, with more accessible.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 steview (1011) - San Francisco, California, USA - SEP 24, 2012
A Belgian takes his country’s PBR and makes it fancy enough so his palate is satisfied and his buddies get drunk. So, that’s my assumption whether you agree with it or not -- lemony, a bit creamy and champagne-like with notes of funk and sour here and there. I bought it because of the bottle’s label, honestly. I should’ve never been told the story behind this beer. A different marketing segment ought to have been the focus: Should be re-branded to be like Corsendonk. However, if I rate it as if I was served only the beer and not the story nor the label, ... See my scores :o)

Clear, deep golden color, small white head. Fruity, sweet citrus aroma, Simcoe appearantly. Light to medium-bodied. Citrus, "Belgian" yeastyness, light tartness, fruity green apple. Lingering bitterness, dry apple tartness in the aftertaste. Champagne beer.

11.2oz bottle. Looks light. Aroma of spiciness from the yeast, light fruit, floral and light citrus from the hops. Flavor the same. Lots of carbonation. An interesting beer.

Bar Great Harry, NY tap ($7): Pours an orange color with a nice white head. Aroma is yeast and fruits. The yeast basically is the top dog in the taste. I really liked this particular yeast. Body is an excellent compatriot to the flavor. Mildly sweet. Rather fruity. Quite good and sessionable.

draught@erzbierschof - dark golden beer; notes of hay, rapefruit and slightly smokey; solid carbonation; quite full-bodied; dry and solidly bitter; long fruity finish - pretty complex

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 bmerz (465) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - AUG 29, 2012
Bottle. Leaves a huge 3 finger rocky head with pretty serious staying power and some of the best lacework I’ve seen in a while. Perfectly clear orange with champagne like bubble streams. The head gives of at first a huge blast of orange and floral hops which settles down to some pine, yeast, and white bread. Flavor is orange and grapefruit sweet and bitter with yeast notes. The palate is mouthwatering and soft at first but dries and has a spice and yeast finish. Pretty surprising to have so much American hop in this. Not so complex but quaffable.
