COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tired of talking my friends into pit stops at beer bars before heading “out” - in fear of having to drink bland lager all night - I set out to craft an ale that would act as companion throughout the evening. Leon is assertively hopped and fermented dry using champagne yeast. The yeast and the hops in combination with a simple malt bill provides the beer with a quality of being rich in taste yet refreshing.

Very different bpa. Taste resembles a pilsner. Must be the champagne yeast. crisp and refreshing, seems lighter than 6.5 abv. Pleasant lingering finish like a geisha coffee.

Co za piana. i nie moze sie zatrzymac z pucharka. Kolor zlotawy lub jasno bursztynowy. Aromat chmielno slodowy. Karmel w smaku ale niewiele wiecej zbozowej slodowosci i chmielu niemieckiego. Amerykanskie 2 odmiany tylko daja sie poznac w zapachu. Bardzo dobre i wierne odzwierciedlenie stylu belgijskiego.

Bottle. Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Hazy gold. Big, white meringue of a head, that is making a bid for freedom from the glass. Very yeasty. Lovely, spicy biscuit. Hint of lemon rind. Taste is very dry. Fairly bitter. Some sweetness mingling in balances things up nicely. Fresh, crisp palate. Finishes dry, and long, lasting bitter. Very nice. Very clean. The champagne yeast has done a good job in this.

Enormously carbonated, head foams over like crazy. Hazy, not to bitter or hoppy. OK beer, expected more from it though. 75cl bottle from SB.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours hazy amber with a white head. Aroma of grassy hops, hay, straw, caramel malts, citrus fruits and pretty rural and farmhouseish overall. Taste is funky with some grassy hops, and dry farmhouse notes as well. A pretty nice Belgian farmhouse IPA kinda thang!

Aroma: lemon peel, orange, resin, peach; Appearance: pale golden, foamy vanishing head; Taste: medium bitterness, medium sweetness, slight sourness; Palate: bitter finish, soft carbonation, slick texture, medium body Drier and hoppier than a typical Belgian ale, with a pleasant mouthfeel.
