COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tired of talking my friends into pit stops at beer bars before heading “out” - in fear of having to drink bland lager all night - I set out to craft an ale that would act as companion throughout the evening. Leon is assertively hopped and fermented dry using champagne yeast. The yeast and the hops in combination with a simple malt bill provides the beer with a quality of being rich in taste yet refreshing.

BeerZack (288) - Asheville, North Carolina, USA - FEB 16, 2013
Clear golden with bright white fizzy ring of head. Smells of sweet honey and hint of orange oil. Feels very carbonated and foamy on the tongue. Taste is very subtle, but there is some harsh astringency on the back of the palate that gets scrubbed away by the carbonation. This beer seems to have more texture and feel than it does flavor. As it warms I get hints of chamomile tea with honey on the nose, still no distinct flavor, but I might say mildly herbal and malty (but almost completely dry).

Pours golden and hazy, with huge head, which leaves a lot of lacing. Aroma has citrus, twigs, grass and little bit of sourness (from the yeast?). Taste has again a lot of twigs, citrus and yeasty herbiness. A little bit of woodiness is also present. Palate is well carbonated, dry and medium hoppiness. Different pale ale, with belgian ale characteristics. Hoppiness is mostly apparent.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; hazy golden yellow pour with a massive fluffy white head, Belgian yeast profile in the aroma along with some zesty citrus fruits, taste has yeast with some herbal action along with some pleasant zesty lemon and satsuma.

Bottle. Dark golden body with a small white head. Aroma is malty with herbal hops and faint citrus notes. Taste is grassy with caramel, herbs, strong bitterness, lasting flowery sweet aftertaste.

Bottle (750ml) bought in September 2014 in Sweden (Systembolaget). Fruity smell and taste with a nice palate touch to it. Excellent balance between fruity and bitter tastes. Color is deep orange, reminding a bit of classic tropical juice except perhaps slightly more transparent.

Bottle (750ml) bought in August 2014 in Sweden (Systembolaget) Pours nice in my Ouverture Beer Glass (Reidel). Leaving a head which klittalr my mustache. Smooth pale ale leaving a fresh taste of oragne and honey mix alcohol, very smooth.

23.08.2014, 0,75l bottle shared with friends @ home:
Nice creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly fresh yeasty, leafs, citrus peel, hops, yeast, moss, light malts, lawn, flowers. Taste is slightly harsh floral, flowers, weeds, yeast, leafs, light malts, citrus peel, moss, minerals, wet grass. Medium to longlasting bitterness, harsh mouthfeel. Not my cup of tea...

Lawger (109) - SWEDEN - AUG 20, 2014
Pours a cloudy amber with a huge white head. A rather impressive aroma for the style, blending the classic belgo blonde elements with a more modern, hoppy profile. There're yeasty, candied scents along with some pine forest, citrus fruits and a hint of mixed spices. The palate is medium bodied with some hints of alcohol, moderate bitterness which is still more prominent than expected for the style, and a rather long finish. Very nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Kris Wines. Dark gold with foamy white head. Definite Belgian yeast notes on the nose with some light fruity hops in there too. Yeast notes give this a full mouthfeel, slightly hoppier than your usual Belgian blonde, with quite a bitter finish.

17/6 2014 En kryddig citrusarom med inslag av jäst och aning råttpiss. Intressant och lovande. Smaken är förvånansvärt blek i jämförelse med den intressanta doftpaletten. Lite fruktigt och med koriandern. Bra avvägd beska, men utan några intressanta vändningar. Välgjort och balanserat. Utseendet är ljust, disig brygd med ett tämligen storbubbligt skum med ok halveringstid. Eftersmaken är kort, metallisk och det är bara en mjuk beska som ligger kvar. Återigen utan något intressant i sig.
