COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tired of talking my friends into pit stops at beer bars before heading “out” - in fear of having to drink bland lager all night - I set out to craft an ale that would act as companion throughout the evening. Fit for beer geeks and party freaks alike, Leon is assertively hopped and fermented dry using champagne yeast. The yeast and the hops in combination with a simple malt bill provides the beer with a quality of being rich in taste yet refreshing.

Hazy gold beer, big white head. Smooth palate. Belgian style seltzer minerals. Semi sweet tripel like malts. A little pink grapefruit and citrus. Light pale malt buried underneath. Crispy and semi dry finish. Good stuff!

Bottle shared by JBPortland. Pours a medium golden color with a finger of white sticky foam. Nice focused beer with classic Belgian notes of yeast, peppery spice and bitter grassy hop notes leading to a dry finish. Good mouthfeel and a nice rustic grain profile.

mcberko (5361) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 23, 2014
750mL bottle, pours a cloudy orange with a large white foamy head. Aroma brings out zesty citrus hops, some spicy notes, and dry biscuity malt. Flavour brings out tangy citrusy notes, zesty notes, and more of the tanginess on the finish. Solid one, but the tanginess takes away from the refreshingness of it. Decent stuff.
