4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Yellow-white brew, similar to a witbier, with the same fine, white lacing. It smells of citrusy and piney, with some funkiness present, reminding me of bad cheese. The taste is quite pleasant, bitter, with citrus notes, hints of tropical fruits. Very light beer, making for a good sessionable drink.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Yields a completely clouded, peach pulp color, with a saturated amber note to it, topped off by a very stable, bubbly, medium sized head.
Its nose offers nektarine, lemon zest and a profound dankness, coated up by a resinous quality. Resin introduces cakey malts to the nose, while hops remain doubtless the beers main focus. Despite the juicy, sweeter fruit characteristics, lime remains able to cut through, creating an intriguing refreshment.
A lively carbonation explodes on the tongue, while soothing malts and yeast create a convincing balance. The mouthfeel doesn’t turn quite smooth yet, focussed on its refreshing qualities. After the swallow it creates a pleasant, soft silkness.
Begins with a crisp lemon peel foundation, which remains noteable till the finish, immediately joined by an invigorating, aqueous softness and white bread malts. Atop of this foundation settles a juicy hop profile of mint, wet grass and unripe orange, creating a pleasantly bitter hoppiness. Finishes with sweeter malts, its initial aqueous quality and utmost dry, sappy lime, creating a vivid, long lasting bitterness.
Exhibits a great hop intensity, while the beer remains its refreshing character, combining a great mouthfeel with a light, well nuanced body.

Can be birthed as the baby brother of Nebuchadnezzar. Lesser alcohol content, but still with almost all the balanced flavors from its big brother.

33cl bottle at home from de Molen, Bodegraven. Body is hazy yellow, head is big, white, fizzy rocky, average lasting, good lacing. Nose is citric, flavor is mandarin, lime, tropical fruits, orange peel, honey. Medium sweet, light bitter, medium citric sour. Finish is medium lasting hoppy medium bittersweet, light citric sour. Medium body, dry texture, quite fizzy carbonation. Easy, refreshing, tasty citric hoppy summer beer, a bit too much carbonation, nice one though.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Rating #1278 10.10.2014- Older bottle - bb 08/05/15 - hops are a little scarce but still present. 5%, Golden amber pour with a bubbly, lasting white foam. Aroma is sweet piney, lemony, mild grassiness. Taste is a blast of citrusy sweetness, tempered by a light punch of hoppy bitterness. Not unbelievably memorable, but a decent APA. Nice.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught at Billie’s Bierkafetaria in Antwerp. Irregular but thick and frothy, stable, eggshell white head, cloudy peach blonde robe. Aroma has an enormous amount of fresh blood orange next to passion fruit, mango, lychee, canned apricot, tangelo, pine resin, vanilla cake, white bread dough, cereals, fruit yoghurt and slight ureum. Soft and fluffy in the mouth, tropical fruits abounding (mango, lychee, passion fruit, pineapple) with a lot of citrusy orange sweetness, soft carbo, biscuity malt sweetness, filling, velvety (oatmeal!) and smooth, ending in an unexpectedly soft hop bitterness, very aromatic and citrusy with spicy notes but not deeply bittering. Quite unusual for an IPA and not unpleasant, but could do with more actual hop bitterness in the aftertaste.
