COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mazarin is my take on a “thinker’s beer”. Rather than being big and undecipherably complex I wanted to create something that would calm a hop yearning nerve without fuddling the brain too much. In other words, a lavishly hopped Pale Ale of judicious ABV — an Extra Special Pale Ale if you will.

Straw yellow, white head. Smells of tropical fruits, peach and zests. Light sweet, very dry. Medium bitter finish with some zests and alot of resins. Very nice

Omnipollo Mazarin claims to be a pale ale but disappoints. Light citrus aroma coming from a nice pour with a fluffy head. Cloudy orange-yellow color. Immediate taste is mega bitter followed by some citrus flavor but the bitter really dominates. Mazarin is more like a low complexity IPA; definitely not an American Pale Ale. Definitely overrated.

Appearance clear golden with heavy white head Verona citrus and pine. Fairly hoppy. Taste strong on the Palate with long strong flavors of citrus and overtones of bitterness

From a 33 cl bottle shared at home. Pours a clear pale gold with a thick white head. Floral hop aroma. Nice mellow mouthfeel with light carbonation. Flavors of grass and citrus. Sharp bitter lingering finish.

Hazy amber beer. Tidy off white head. Palate is a little crisp and semi dry. Smooth pale malt supports all right hops. Pine and mild citrus. Minerals. Fairly dry finish. Standard stuff done well.

Growler. Barely hazy amber with a fluffy white head that lasts well. Aroma is floral with grapefruit and pepper, toast, a little pine. Sweet toasted caramel, lychees, some berries, citrus and resin ooze into a bitter and dry finish. On the sweet side, but that snappy finish makes the balance between aromatics, malt and bitterness rather nice.

25 cl. draft @ Delirium Hoppy Loft. Thick hazy orange with a creamy white head. Nose is sweetish grapefruit jam coupled with some USA grapefruit & pine resin hoppy bitterness goodness, cloudberries, flowers, oranges,… Taste is sweet malts & fruits, jam, creamy coupled with increasingly bitter grapefruit & pine resin hoppy bitterness, fruits, white grapes, cloudberries, sweetish pine resin, orange peel, bitterness is quite floral & bit odd coupled with the sweetnes,… Thick malts,… Not the best but very good & yummy never the less. Digging this new brewery / De Proef deal… something like that so far.

Draft. Pours orange with an off white head. Fruity and flowery hops, lighter malty sweetness, and faint grains. Relatively well balanced. Pretty good.

Sampled on draft at the House of 1000 beers this beer poured an orange-apricot color with a medium sized foamy orange-beige head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was faint dryish fruity and floral hops and not much else. The flavor was dry, biter and somewhat tart with a light vague fruit and perfume presence. Long dry perfumey finish. Medium body. Disappointing.

Bottle from Malt & Vine. Pours translucent light amber with a fizzy beige head. Mild citrus and caramel aromas. Near full bodied. Flavor is roast caramel with some fruity/citrus hop. Not a bad take on the style, and the flavors are pretty strong. Finishes on the bitter side.
