COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
On a stop over in Baltimore we were hosted by an overwhelmingly hospitable man – Brian Strumke aka Stillwater. Getting hammered drinking his potions - made out of rice and corn - it was with a sense of inspiration that we drove of early in the morning to catch out flight back to Sweden. Nathalius is an imperial IPA brewed with rice and corn. However, fair and alluring as though she might seem this miss will whip you into submission.

Pours a cloudy orange with a short lived white head. Heavy citrus aroma with hints of grapefruit. Medicinal bitterness with a grassy, herbal aftertaste. Not very awesome.

Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a huge yellowish head. The aroma has notes of lemons and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of citrusy hops, malt, and brewing cereal, leading to a very bitter and raw finish.

330ml bottle at Bishops Arms, Malmo, Sweden. Hazy yellow amber, decent head. Big hoppy aroma. Orange, mango, hop flavour. Tastes like a very good IPA to me.

On tap at Beer Temple. Hazy pale yellow colour, white head. Aroma of lots of stinging citrus hops, some weed, zest, grapefruit skin, pine. Flavour is dry, earthy, citrus, pine, biting bitter grapefruit and pine finish. Medium-bodied at best. Good.

Poured hazy, milky orange with a frothy white head. Aroma of sweet citrus and heavy floral hops. Medium body, flavour is sharp bitter citrus, lingering bitter finish. An acquired taste this one.

Quite a lovely beer. Very fruity and malty throughout with a dry smokey/watermelon finish... Interesting. Also lovely bottle & label! Finish can be quite overwhelming.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet. Hazy orange, fluffy head. Intens herbal bitterness. Grapefruit. Clean bitter finish, lighter body than most double IPAs

Bottle. Low fluffy white and quickly disappearing head. Hazy yellow green body. Pine lemon and grapefruity aroma and flavor with a nice and relatively strong hops bitterness. Low carbonation. Long dry and bitter finish. Alcohol well hidden by the bitterness.

330ml bottle pours a golden orange color with a huge white head that retains well and leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is grapefruit rind and grains. Taste is a grapefruit bitterness with a grainy malty sweetness. This brew is much like having a fresh white grapefruit for breakfast. A little one dimensional, but still a very well crafted beer.

ClubGonzo (4236) - Bergen, NORWAY - OCT 12, 2013
Bottle from Vinmonopolet in Valkendorfsgate, Bergen. Pours a hazy straw-hued orange body with a large creamy white head. Aroma is grapefruit, rose water, peaches, citric peel and hints of syrup and pineapple. A bit perfumy, all in all, but still quite nice. Taste is a different story - harsh bitter tones of resin, medicine and pine quench most of the fruitiness, with only a bit of earthy leaves, cellar must and hints of rose water and peaches in the back. Medium to full body, medium carbonation. Whatever difference the corn/rice setup may or may not have made, it totally drowns in a disproportionate hop schedule which pretty much ruins the ball.
