COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
On a stop over in Baltimore we were hosted by an overwhelmingly hospitable man – Brian Strumke aka Stillwater. Getting hammered drinking his potions - made out of rice and corn - it was with a sense of inspiration that we drove of early in the morning to catch out flight back to Sweden. Nathalius is an imperial IPA brewed with rice and corn. However, fair and alluring as though she might seem this miss will whip you into submission.

9 oz pour at PPD. Very hazy, basically opaque honey gold with some spitty white head. Aroma is just plain citrus pith. Not zesty, not citrus peel... straight pith. A hint of grass and straw, perhaps a bit grainy, but gummy grains like a risotto. Flavor follow suit, big bitter lemon peel, something a bit industrial like rubber, a little malty, lots of yeast, like blooming bread yeast, heavy hand soap. Full, bitter, soapy finish. Really harsh.

330ml bottle (shared by FatPhil, thanks). Hazy orange color. Small size, white head, stays. Dusty, grainy, hops, sweat, oranges in aroma. Spruce, tar, citrus, juniper in taste. Very intensive and attacking flavor. Bitter bitter aftertaste makes it a bit struggle to drink (at least for me).

24-JAN-2014, draft @Mikkeller & Friends. Hazy golden with lasting of--White, lacing head. Aroma is grape fruit, mango, orange, peach - the fruitbowl. Taste is extremely bitter, The bitterness is taking over most of the hoppy stuff. Yeast, fruit - mostly citrus, grape fruit. Very yeasty, too much. A little tart, some sweetness. Many nice elements here but too rough and too yeasty.

Bottle @ Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig. The pour’s gold with a small head. The nose is peachy underarm. Green grass shoots. Strong bitterness on the palate. Citrus pulp. Mango. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Decent.

330ml bottle (BierKompass.de)
Lovely fruity hop aroma. Massively earthy taste. Bitter and herbal. Nut paper late finish. Not too sweet, not too bitter, and not too alcoholic. A nice balance.

Tap at CBC Clapham. Pours hazy orange honey sort of colour with lacy white head. Nose is resinous toffee, big lychee and grapefruit. Real sour tang to this. Massive grapefruit, pineapple and lychee. A tropical bomb. A little too sweet and sticky but a solid drop. Surprised at how low this rates

Keg at CP&K. It pours cloudy pale orange with amedium white head. The nose is juicy orange, passion fruit, mango, dough and peppery notes. The taste is crisp, bitter-sweet, orange peel, tangerine, sherbet, alcohol, dough, straw and spice with a dry, almost peppery finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Good tropical fruit action. Decent stuff.

Pours hazy pale pear into a snifter. Bright white head with good retention recedes to coat surface. Citrus and rice aromas. Crisp with harsh rice and a strange bitter sugar substitute flavor upfront turning to a lasting bitter aspirin finish. Unlike anything else....

Definitely neutered in the aroma as this beer is not fresh. Flavor is stale and dry with aggressive grapefruit pith.

Pours a hazy yellow with a big white foamy head into a spigleau. Nose is an intense sour yeasty pine hop blast. Taste is mostly bitter with some sweet malt notes going on.
