“Neb” is a home brew recipe that has been scaled up with no consideration to economies of scale. Some say idiotic, and as an economist I would have to agree. Get fresh or die trying.

33 cl. Murky golden with a lasting small disc of foam. Smells of earthy orange, green herb, grapefruit, caramel, resin, and pineapple. Delicious front tastes of pineapple and earthy toffee mixed with evergreen resin fade nicely into rusty apple, citrus zest and light mint. A slightly too-bitter mint and cardboard starchiness in the finish detracts from an otherwise good beer. Light-medium body is well balanced with a dry finish and has a medium but smooth carbonation.

From notes. 330 mL bottle shared at a tasting on 5 May. The pour is a foggy golden color with a nice white head and some great solid lacing. The aroma is pretty hoppy, but the maltiness that’s going on here is solid. There is a subtle blast of citrus on the back end. The flavor is solid. There is a good bitterness that sits on the front of the hops and the citrus. There is a light malt flavor on the back end. The mouth feel is decent with a light carbonation The aftertaste is a touch dry which is decent, but it does leave some to be desired

Hazy yellow beer with dense persistent white head. Aroma is refreshing with tropical fruits, citrus and caramelly sweetness. Flavor has fruits, grapefruity bitterness, saltiness and caramelly sweetness. Palate is fuller than medium with medium full carbonation and stinging of bitterness. Finish has a hefty amount of grapefruity bitterness along with some salty licorice on the aftertaste. Refreshing and solid DIPA, a bit too much with caramelly sweetness.

Lots of butterscotch and fruits in the aroma. Taste of grapefruit, other tropical fruits, and light bread. Nice balanced bitterness.

This is Swedens best IPA. I love this beer, and so do a lot of other Norwegians, as it is ordered and sold out fairly quickly whenever it arrives. A strong ABV on the nose with an almost magical use of hops, this is just, well, everything I want from a beer. Now, if only I had tons of money and could have this beer on tap in my flat 24/7, I’d be golden.

Grapefruit and a surprisingly anise in the finish. Very floral and well hopped rascal that definitely meets expectations.
