3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from LCBO. Hazy peachy-gold with a nice white head. Aggressively hoppy aroma that leans heavily towards tropical fruit notes - pineapple, papaya, lychee - along with pine resin, pepper, and some alcohol dryness. Flavour is... well, to be honest, somewhat disappointing after the fantastic aroma. The hops are sharp and not well integrated, with bitter orange pith and pine sap being the dominant players, pushing the sweeter and more pleasant tropical notes to the background. And the finish gets quite hot and boozy as it warms, making it a bit of a chore to finish the glass. Maybe I got a dud bottle, but I’m finding it hard to see - and taste - what all the fuss is about.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
2014/07/14 - Pours a hazy, orange/honey colour with a thick, rocky, off white head that lingers and leaves moderate lacing. Aroma is pine, citrus, mango and spicy hops. Taste is similar to nose; spicy hops, pine, citrus, mango and a touch of biscuit. Low sweetness with medium bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium and sticky with biting carbonation and a crisp, drying finish. Very enjoyable.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pale golden pour with a thin white head. The nose is tropical and slightly peppery/earthy. It’s got a little bit of a pungency that I kind of recall from Norrebro back in the day. Some pineapple and a touch of garlic that I could probably do without. Mild sweetness but is dominated by resinous/earthy notes rather than bright aromatics. Not sure how it’s been handled but there is a bit of mintiness on the back as well. It finishes fairly dry with an assertive lingering bitterness. Spicy and dank on the finish. Okay - but is showing some age.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a hazy orange colour. Big open hoppy aroma with pine cones, a bit of resin, and a hint of citrus. I bet this one is amazing freshly brewed. Resinous palate and hoppy notes are jumping out of the glass with some grassy hoppy notes and shows a bit of sweetness. Very tasty stuff.

4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
The cheap black and white tiger stripe graphic doesn't do this justice. Great hoppy aromas. Citrus. Taste of Belgian yeasts. Full points for having a bold IPA that doesn't suck.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Perhaps my taste buds were gone, but I would have thought of this more as a high alcohol wheat beer by the look and taste. Pours cloudy light, pale gold with frothy white head.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a pale cloudy straw colour, with a fizzy white head. Aroma includes huge notes of pine, grapefruit, and mango. Taste notes include dusty citrus, pine, resin, and a peppery finish. Not much of a malt presence for an IIPA, but this beer probably is not as fresh as it should be. If this beer was fresh, I could imagine how much more awesome it would be! I would definitely have had no idea that his beer is 8.5% alcohol! Making this beer dangerously drinkable!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
330 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a cloudy golden colour with decent-sized, lasting white head that leaves a little lace. Aroma is big resiny and spicy hoppiness, some tropical fruit and gentle crackery grains. Flavour is full of pine resin, spicy hops, grapefruit rind and a bit of graininess. Solid bitterness in finish. Medium body with a bit of silkiness in the mouthfeel. Nice one.
