3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from a some Gothenburg Systembolaget. Poured a hazy light amber with a creamy white head. The aroma is big yeast, orange citrus. The flavour is strong bitter with a rich woody, resin hop light pepper spice palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A beast of a DIPA! One of the best i’ve had.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap at CBC 2014. Beer in the glass deep golden, nice head. Fine hoppy-fruity aroma. Starts dry-malty, quite hoppy-bitter, less fruity than exspected. Finish dry-malty, less hoppy. Okay.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours slightly hazy pale to deep gold with three fingers of loose, foamy white head diminishing gradually to a thin cap, spotty lacing. Nose is grapefruit, mango, caramel malt, slight floral. Taste is mild to moderate sweet rapidly overtaken by intense pine resin bitter. Relatively light body, moderate sustained carbonation, and a dry bitter finish.
Really good IIPA - almost splits the difference between English and American hops as flavour goes, but the intensity is everything you’d expect from a 100 IBU brew. The high ABV is completely integrated and very, very sneaky. Definitely more-ish.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Hazy gold. Thin, slightly sticky, white head. Fusty orange, toffee sweetness. Quite resinous, in a Simcoe hop kind of way? A hint of black pepper. Hint of lemon rind. Taste has a spicy edged, dry, rising bitterness. Full, sticky palate. Some alcohol warmth. Finish is spicy bitter, that lingers. Dry close.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
[bottle from LCBO]
Potent hops aroma with a rubber-orange note that is characteristic of Pacific Jade hops. Base malt is also present, but in the background. Hazy copper under a thin, white sheet that persists. Sweet malt flavour that quickly develops into a cat pee and rubber-orange hops. Ethanol and assertive bitterness come in later. Well balanced for an IIPA. Medium body, slightly warming, medium carbonation, lingering bitter finish.
