“Neb” is a home brew recipe that has been scaled up with no consideration to economies of scale. Some say idiotic, and as an economist I would have to agree. Get fresh or die trying.

Orange, hazy, whitemedium head. Resiny-herby smell, piney, with hints of fruit. Massive resiny, almost woody taste. Also some grapefruit. Extreme bitterness backgrounded by a huge maltiness. Long, dry finish.

På fat @ Brew Dog Bar. Bärnstensfärgad vätska. Luktar mögligt ost. Torr bitter smak och en beska som hänger kvar länge i gommen.

Pours a deep golden yellow, slight haze, pure white head, medium retention, but leaves beautiful lacing. Aroma bursts forth with amazing hop presence, resin, pine spring forward. Medium bodied, the first second is fraught full of malty sweetness (crystal/Candi sugar?), immediately followed by a staying bitterness dominated by pine. An absolute delight.

Average head. Fresh smell. Slightly hazy. Weak body but a strong hoppy flavor, heaps of grapefruit and pine. Restrained sweetness. Overhopped, I would say.

Bottle sample. Thanks David c. Hazy amber with white head. Lychee, a little floral and nango in the nose. bitter, hoppy, tropical fruit in the mouth. A little juicy, medium-bodied, hoppy, mildly bitter finish. Ok.

Pours a dark golden colour with two fingers of head and some sediment. The aroma is full of grape fruit, crushed pine needles, resin, some mixed herbs, a hint of booziness and some apricots in the background. Palate is medium bodied with nice freshness and lift, some malty sweetness and a good, lasting bitterness on the long finish. Very nice.

UPDATED: OCT 7, 2014 The beer is very cloudy. The color is bright orange. The aroma is great with hints of banana, lemon and lots of hops. The flavors explodes as the beer touches the palate. Lots of grapefruit, pineapple and orange. An unusually sour and sweet IPA. Let me say this about the beer. You can?t do it any better than this.

(330ml bottle from LCBO) Pours a hazy medium orange, moderate frothy white cap with tons of lace. Aroma is maybe a bit faded due to age but still reasonably bright. Pineapple, apricot, citrus rind, earthy pine, caramel malts. On the palate, sweet and somewhat malty at first, caramel and slight bread with a touch of honey and some fruit - apricot, tropicals. Middle of the sip on it becomes pithy with wet grassy herbal character, slightly peppery and a bit medicinal. Quite bitter towards the finish, dries out malt body almost completely. The hops seem a little brash in the latter part of the sip in particular. Maybe age showing, suppressing the fruit a bit more than the bittering. Mouthfeel medium-full, slightly creamy, softer carb. A fairly big, brash and bitter DIPA with a strong malt core but while it seems quite decent I really need to try it fresh to give it a fair shake. Recent offerings from GLB and Bellwoods consumed just after bottling feel better balanced.
