“Neb” is a home brew recipe that has been scaled up with no consideration to economies of scale. Some say idiotic, and as an economist I would have to agree. Get fresh or die trying.

Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. Heavily hazy golden coloured with a rapidly disappearing white head. It has a very rich orange blossom and citrus flavour, floral notes followed by a warming, toffee and pine spicy finish. Excellent!

Bottle, 33cl. Pours a hazy, light amber with a white, long lasting head. Aroma is very fresh and fruity, grape fruit, very piny, grassy, hoppy, strong but pale malt profile. Slight orange. Taste has a very high bitterness, but is smoothened out by a nice, but again fairly pale malt sweetness. Slight citric tartness and dryness. Very citrus-peel-like dry finish. Very old school IIPA! Average carbonation and a smooth but dry body. I dig dis fo sho!

Bottle from Trembling Madness, York. Pours hazy amber with an off white head. Lovely tropical pineapple aroma. The taste starts sweet with pineapple and spice before a bitter resinous finish with a little aniseed and alcohol. Great beer.

Hazed golden color with a frothy, moderated sized, off-white head. Big pine and citrus scents. Hints of brown sugar and honey. Pale malts and berries noted in the front. Middle is hit but herbal hops and citrus. Some heat noticed. Long lasting bitterness. Heat now noticed in the stomach. A little return of pale malt in the hopsack late in the linger.

Very full aroma. This one takes the ipa squared approach rather than the make everything barley wine heavy approach, and I like it. It certainly gives this beer lots of reasons to exist, as it’s quite special how the loads of zesty hops can be combined with a very full mouth feel. Amazing brew, again from Omnipollo! (33cl bottle from Saveur Bière l

This was an 11.2 fl oz bottle dated best before 7th August 2016 on the bottle cap and poured into a snifter glass. It poured a hazy golden orange colour with a one finger white head that dissipated fairly quickly leaving nice spotty lacing. Right from the pour you get a strong tropical fruit aroma. Mainly mango and pineapple followed by some citrus grapefruit, zest and pine. I thought the smells were amazing and raring to burst out at me. Tastes of citrus hop bitterness up front with grapefruit and mandarin orange followed by some light tropical fruit… maybe pineapple and peach, but still the bitterness pushes through. There’s also a strong malt caramel background and slight sweetness from this, but it gets covered by the bitterness quickly and the lasting aftertaste is bitter with a small hint of tropical fruit. It is medium bodied with light carbonation and has a dry finish. Overall, this was a very nice DIPA. The strong aromas set a high standard to begin with. I find most DIPAs have too much malt caramel sweetness in its taste for me, but in this case I absolutely loved the hop bitterness shining through. The slight fruitiness also helped here. Its on the expensive side, but I will definitely consider buying this again.

Hervorragend in seiner Art mit einem ordentlich Bumms an Hopfen und Zitrusmomenten. Dazu moderate Bitterkeit, ordentliche Frische und süffig ist es auch.

33 cl bottle. Pours hazy amber. Quite a malty aroma for an IIPA., but I like it. Sorry, I can’t provide a more detailed rating as I’m watching #ESC in Sweden... But yep, I like it.

Lots of big hops on head here. Florals, and light hay and a hint of pineapple. Medium bitter finish. Grasslike malt aroma. Golden pour with good head. Tap at pizza paradiso Dupont.
