Tap. Pours lightly hazy yellow with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is banana and clove esters with wheat malt. Flavor is malt forward with banana and clove esters with a dry finish. Light body and warmth with medium carbonation.

Draft at the Brewery with Andrew, PJ, and Brendan. Pours a light golden body with light lacing. Aroma is wheat and fruit. Mouthfeel is thin with similar notes - somewhat unpleasant aftertaste.

Wow! This is a bit of s surprise. I’ve never had a hefe I could see through. That being said a fantastic example of the style. Pours golden from tap with a big pillowy head. Big banana and clove notes on the nose. Big banana on the tongue as well. Finish is clean. Lots of good hefe in PA but this might be the best.

On tap at Berwick Brewery w/ James Andy and PJ. Tasty and refreshing; sessionable. Pretty sweet and a little fruity.

In short: A standard basic brewpub hefe. Ordinarily refreshing.
How: Tap at brewpub (called Front Street Wheat)
The look: Partly cloudy yellow body topped by a small white head
In long: Typical basic hefe nose of banana cake. Taste has wheat (Shredded Wheat™ breakfast cereals flavor) with banana cake. The body is bit on the slim side. The carbonation is appropriately medium. Overall the beer is extra-clean, cleaner the slimmer than most hefe. This is very refreshing, not single brewing default, but also very forgettable. Fortunately there were better beers to drink at this pub because that’s all there is to do in Berwick. Downtown Berwick I saw a board with a big map of the downtown area, a big red arrow and a caption that read "You are here... but why?"

Draught at TND: Aroma of wheat, must, lemon, and a hint of coriander. Poured pale yellow/straw in color with a large, creamy, head that diminished but lasted throughout. Clear. Very sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of wheat, coriander, and grain. Light to medium body. Slightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Wheat and grain finish. Very one-diminished and boring.

Sampled on draft at Zeno’s in State College PA this beer poured a very hazy yellow-amber color with a medium sized beige head that lingered. The aroma was sweet, wheaty and bready. The flavor was spicy, yeasty and bready with a nice fruity hop presence, dryish malts and notes of cardboard and pepper. The finish was long, dry, wheaty, musty and bready. Fairly full bodied. Nice.
