COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pale malts and flaked rye produce an APA that drinks darn near close to an IPA – you will be surprised at the Simcoe hop kick on this guy.

Taster on tap at GTMW. Mostly hazy golden orange color. Thin off-white head. Leaves decent lace. Medium body. Smooth, kind of crisp, lighter carbonation. Sort of slick texture. Bready malt, some orange citrus. Moderate sweet taste, minimal bitter. Kind of tangy, even. Not crazy about this pale ale. Fruity, sweet, not very bitter. More malt forward (though it is pale malt less than caramel malt)

One of my very favorite APA’s from one of my very favorite breweries. I’ve had this numerous times on draft at the brewery itself. If I was limited to one word to describe this beer, it would most definitely be "refreshing". This is a beer with a great ABV and hop profile, but doesn’t get too aggressive on the tongue and is easy to plow through. Like many of the beers at the brewery, it’s far too easy to feel a strong buzz after a couple of these.

On tap at brewery. Citrus up front, with grapefruit and orange with a nice clean finish.

Draft sample @ Back Road Festival. Sweet musty orange and caramel malt aroma. Hazy gold with a small white head. Sweet musty orange and bready malt flavor. Medium body, soft carbonation.

Draft. Orange malt and orange peel aroma. Hazy yellow with small head. Sweet orange malt and moderately bitter orange peel flavor. Solid, standard APA.

I noticed they were stingy on the hopps and this beer was just below so-so. I do not think this beer compares with other American pale ales on the market. I truly felt this beer tasted flat and watered down. It did not have that kick. I felt the hopps were of mediocre quality and quantity. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A bit of off lfavor in this one but behind that is a ncie citrusy apa that you could down many pints of, and here a pint means like 20oz, good deal.

Growler from brewery. Pours dark amber with white head. Aromas of citrus and piney hops with some caramel malt. Flavors citrus, hop bitterness, caramel, and some bready malts. There was a bit of a sanitizer taste to this one as well but not near the level of the IPA.

Draft pour on tap at the brewery (Lansing, IL). Pours a decent hazed golden straw hue, gentle glow and touches of deeper hues within the body. A touch of orange with some decent sized frothy whitish head atop stays as a firm ring, laces ok overall. Aromas are a nice kick of vibrantly fresh citrus element, lemons and grapefruit, a good dose of oranges, gumball-like element, touch of gentle bubblegum. Grass, gentle florals, and crisp cereal and bready malts. Initial is lighter end of the fold, soapy and Amarillo like hopping takes hold. Grapefruit, gentle bubblegum, good orange and florals feel. Grass, a bit soapy and decent bitterness kick into the front and midddle. Offers a touch of sweetness, lots of hop slanted fruit of graperfruit, gumball, and lemons. Oranges, florals, and some lingering soap and flavorful hops, fruity, with a decent bitterness lingering on, bits of bready and crisp cereal grains. Quite nice. Fresh, flavorful, easily drinkable. Nice fresh hop presence. Nice APA with more flavor than stark bitterness, very Amarillo-y, so if that’s not your thing, you might not love it. I think it’s quite nice.
