(Bottled) Clear dark copper color with a medium, foamy and moderately lacy head. Nutty and caramely but dryish aroma. Hoppy, somewhat harshly bitter, slightly metallic flavor with some caramely hints. Light to medium-bodied, thin and foamy-carbonated palate. I just can’t see what’s the point of these boring, thin and bitter Belgian amber ales...

Bottled. Golden amber coloured with a fine off-white head. Thin hoppy nose with notes of sweet caramel. The flavor is sweet malty, fruity and hoppy but to watery.

Beautiful copper colour with a small head. Great bitter hop aroma. A little weak on the finish.

Nice amber ale with an off white head. Malty aroma with notes of candy sugar and light resinous hops. Fresh crisp malt with light hops but nice cirtusy notes in final, with pepper. Medium bodied. Bought at Delhaize.

BPW6. aroma: flowery parfume-like hop, malty. taste: sweetish, hopbitterness, fruity and a bit malty. finish: bitter, sweet, dry and not so very long. medium bodied and a bit sticky. much resemblence with palm and koninck, but more with english bitter-ales. nice.

(Bottle 25 cl) Amber beer with a beautiful retentive head. Appears watery in the beginning but then you’re hit by some dry, floral hoppiness. Nice and refreshing - and no stronger than pils, as the label says. Same family as palm and de Koninck. 300695

Bottled 25cl (BB 10/2005)
Copper brown, small creamy off-white head, lace. Interesting herbal aroma with leather and yeast. Hard thin mouthfeel: metal start, then bitter hoppy flavors and bitter aftertaste. Quite thin and carbonated. Like Belgium version of English bitter.

A mildly tasty but weak ale along the mold of Palm and Vieux Temps. A bit of nice yeast and malt flavors, not too bitter. OK for the genre.
