3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask - Kings Head, Norwich. A dark brown beer with a medium size loose & foamy, disppearing light brown head. Big roasty, smoky malts and dried fruit aromas. Lots of BBQ smoke and roastiness again on the palate, hints of chocolate and plenty of liquorice bitterness. Quite rich and often hints at the medicinal. Fairly soft and oily mouthfeel, low carbonation, medium body and a good, lingering smoky/ashy bitter finish.
