MartinT (4241), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Nov 6, 2007 My Bottom Line:
Clean cereals propose humble sweetness for the wooden hop flavor and bitterness to balance out. Storyless but well made, this Pale Ale might lack hop flavor and aroma to please some lovers of the style.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam decorates the clear orangey blond.
-Passive apricots convey fruitiness to the sweet grain.
-The supporting hop bitterness lingers nicely.
-The nose is not expressive enough to make me feel like diving in.
On tap at the brewpub. JAF737300 (733), New York, New York, USA Jul 29, 2007 This american ale pours copper in color with a small head. The malt shows on both the nose and the mouthfeel. It also gives a decent finish which shows the bitterness of the hops. Sammy (2970), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 12, 2007 Yellow with a white head, neutral aroma. Light mouthfeel and ABV. Billed to us as an extra pale. Reminded me of some wheats, did not get an expected noticeable bitterness. Miguel (1181), Sorel-Tracy, Quebec, Canada May 21, 2007 Robe blonde très claire surmontée d’une mousse blanche en dentelle qui s’estompe. Arômes légers de malt. Saveurs de caramel et de houblon amérisant terreux. jcwattsrugger (3757), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Mar 27, 2007 on tap-pours a white head and gold color.
