Commercial Description:
A blend of German vienna malt and English crystal malts create this malty and slightly fruity beer. Sweet caramel flavors give way to a surprisingly soft and smooth finish.

Cask@GBBF2008. Amber colour, not much head. Aroma is caramel, hops and wooden + vanillaish notes. Flavour is sour wood, vanilla and that’s about it. A bit watery.

(12oz bottle) Crystal clear body topped by small beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, fruity (peach, some melon), some caramel, spicy/earthy. Taste is medium sweet, caramel/bread, peach, earthy, light spice. Soft light-medium body.

Cask at GBBF 08. Russet colour with thin beige head. Nice grapefruit aroma. Not too much intensity in the mouth for a 6.8% beer. OK, a bit like a bitter really. Bit watery in mouth.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with ppoitras (thanks!). Poured a deep amber / orange color wih an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, citrus, and a little bit grassy. Tastes of caramel with lighter citrus.

Bottle... Clear amber ale with a large, frothy, off-white head. Good retention. Aroma is a blend of caramel and Vienna malts with a whisper of wet leather. The flavor is well balanced with caramel malt and earthy hops. Medium-bodied with delicate carbonation. Lengthy, lightly bitter finish. Thanks, Growler, for sharing your bottle!
