Sample at Julio’s NE Beer Festival. This is usually my kind of thing but I found the vanilla in this one to be almost too much, almost like vanilla flavoring was added. Still way better than alot of other things one could be drinking though.

From a growler purchased at Julios. Pours a clear, cola like brown with a 1 finger off white head. Aroma was light vanilla and wood. Moderate body with a smooth velvety texture. Flavor was vanilla with a roasted malt base. Also, hints of chocolate. Very nice indeed.

Growler at the Rosso release at Captain Lawrence. Pours a thin looking hazy brown to black with a somewhat dead looking light beige head. Cookie like aromas with chocolate and vanilla. Sweet chocolate. Tasty, but degraded a bit as it went on.

Growler. Poured a darker brown with a mediumoff white head. Aroma of mostly vanilla, oak and some porter qualities. Flavor had a lot of vanilla and oak as well.

Tasted from Growler. Poured a dark brown color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of lots of vanilla with some smokiness and woodiness. Tastes of vanilla, roast, and chocolate. Definitely a lot of vanilla in this one (good think I like vanilla!).
