Cloudy brown color, with a smal sized head, not very persistent. Balanced aroma, with some caramel, wood, vanilla, leather, mild chocolate. Round mouthfeel and full body, with low carbonation; good malt flavor, well sweet but not syrupy or dense, with caramel, some wood and sweet nuts; there is no evidence of the red wine barrel aging, and luckily no ashes from the cigar, although it pricks on the tongue in a mild but similar way as a cigar. Pleasant but not too complex.

Bottle at yespr. Hazy orange-red coloured with a small off-white head. Sweet and fruity aroma of caramel and dried fruits with notes of burnt sugar. Sweet and fruity flavour of caramel, dried fruits and burnt sugar. Sweet finish.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, alcohol, and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, alcohol, and wood. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottled. Dark amber colorued. dense light brown head. Aroma of ripe fruits, sweetness, caramel, spice, alcohol. Flavour of ripe fruits, alcohol, herbs, sweetness, caramel. Medium to full bodied. Ends on a fruity and spiced end with a light alcoholbite.

cloudy brown, small offwhite head. wild yeasty ,caramelly , malty. flavor is caramelly, dark caramelly, smooth, slighly malty. tasty, but bordering too sweet.

50 cl bottle. Pours hazy dark amber to brown with a small white to off white head. Aroma is overripe fruity and toasted malty. Toasted dark malty and light sweet toasted malty. Sweet and lingering caramelish into the far finish.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy reddish amber with a small, rough off-white head. Lovely complex aroma of caramel, nuts and wood. Rich body, very low carbonation. Caramel galore, some vanilla and a warming alcohol finish. Hardly any bitterness. Pleasant British style Barley Wine. 130612

Brown body, white head. Aroma is full of berries, sour malt and vinegar. Flavour has some smoke, metally caramel, almond and bready malt. Quite nice and pretty different.

Dark reddish brown colour with tiny off-white head. Dark malt, sourness, fruits and berries in aroma. Flavour is heavy and dark. Very strong maltiness, some sugary sweetness, fruity sourness and mild vinous notes. Turns quite fruity and berry sweet when warms a bit. Not my idea of enjoyable beer. No flaws though. It’s a bit like dessert wine.
