Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. Reddish-amber with a tan head. The aroma has some nice tart cherry notes as well as a bit of sweetness from the caramel and toffee malts. The flavor is lightly sour. I get some tart cherries and once again some toffee and caramel. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy opaque amber with a small, creamy off-white head. Caramellish nose, only a slight tart whiff. Rich body, rich caramel and wood with a subtle lactic tartness. Warming alcohol finish. Not really sour, appears more like a slightly infected Barley Wine. 130612

Pours dark brown with a thin white head. Nose is sour cherries, floral boquet, mild vinegar and earthy soil. Taste is sweet mostly with some bitterness thrown in the mix but manages to stay balanced through the finish. The mouthfeel is crisp and clean, long aftertaste with light to medium body.

06/03/2012 Brasserie 4:20 (500ml bottle). Corpo medio, grande struttura e complessità, carbonazione soft. Magnifico Barley Wine.
