4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Gferrazzano (26) - - JAN 27, 2012
Few words:
When I had it I felt a sort of flashback about: lambic cantillon lou pepe kriek, whiskey and black cherry. It is an harmony of extreme tastes and it feels acid in the esophagus. When you see a bottle of 10 e lode sour, you must try it if never had before, or drink it again and again anyway, because it’s not exhausting.
4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 PatBateman81 (178) - Caserta, ITALY - JAN 20, 2012
Bottle 50 cl @ Karhisma Birroteca (Piedimonte Matese, Caserta - Italy). A WTF-aroma, you could smell it from distance when pouring: cherries, strawberries, red wine, porto, vanilla, wild yeast, whiskey, flowers, peach, pear, dark chocolate, sour but elegant. Extremely elegant. It’s a show, even 20 minutes after the pouring remains the same strength. Smell, smell, smell and you’ll find something different each time. Multi-color: cassock, black, brown, dark violet and almost no foam. Alcoholic note just after the sip, but full of plum, cherries, wood, whiskey again, citrus. Medium body not properly drinkable as lambic or other sour ales, but surely you wont get tired of it. Finish pleasant, citric and harsh. Long lasting like Porto or first-class rhum, grapefruit. This one has bottled on 10/2010 and still seems young. You know what? Reminds me the Pannepot Wild!

Bottle. Lovely sourness, under control, but enough. Rodenbach-like - soft vinegar, aged wine. Malty body cut through by the sounrness. Not much oak in the flavour, more in the aroma.
