UPDATED: SEP 7, 2012 Color oro pallido tendente all’arancio, schiuma discreta.

300 ml on tap at Birra+. Didn’t bother to take proper tasting notes as I was in a hurry and just needed a beer but damn, this was great. Noble hops like aroma, clean and lingering grassy bitterness, just spot on really. One of the best Golden Ale I drank this year, for sure.

Une robe blonde aux reflets ambrés. Nez fruité, malté et légèrement houblonné. Bouche fruitée, agréable, avec une fine amertume. Un bière agréable, de soif.

Simple and original, this is a very refreshing dark amber ale perfumed of fresh American hops; quite enjoyable.

10th Dec 2013: Open Baladin (Rome). Large glass from one of the many taps during a mini-lunchtime session while resting from site seeing. Dirty old gold in colour, hazy with a full white head. Fruity and yeasty nose: taste refreshing and also very fruity. The beer as a whole was fine: my first ever ’craft beer’ in Italy. Didn’t really know what to expect. This was well made and interesting, the mixed fruit aromas and flavours were a real surprise (for some reason): a real fruit salad sort of thing. Well carbonated, this suited the beer: it wouldn’t have tasted right in cask form, it needed that ’fizz’ to make it work.
