from Edelweiss bar in Alba Adriatica - pretty clear dark golden-bronze beer with a persistent little foam; light estery, caramel ans fruity hops (quince, apple); light sticky, full-bodied and with a subtle carbonation; some sweetness; finishes velvety, bitter and fruity with some residual sweetness and light spicy tones - a nice hybrid, delicate and full of character at the same time

Bottle from Eataly in Rome. An interpretation of a Caravaggio on the label and cap, nice touch. Pours a beautiful, hazy golden colour with a rather big, bubbly / soapy off-white head that drops to an uneven layer, and leaves a bit of lace. A lovely, fragrant aroma, a mixture of Belgian yeast (bubblegum, watermelon), and unfortunately rather unpronounced hops giving off yellow fruits (peaches, pears), and I’m afraid there’s some alcohol detectable too. Tastes very yeasty, peachy, peary, with more alcohol than i’d like from a 7.8% ABV beer. Not nearly as bitter as I’d have expected, and finally when the bitterness settles in, it’s boring and herbal. Thin, active carbonation. Somewhat grainy, dryish, alcoholic and thin finish, yet overall the mouthfeel is nice and soft. An interesting take on a hybrid style, but it doesn’t cut it for me. The Belgian-ness suffocates the IPA. I’m kinda surprised that it’s rated this high...

Hazy orange with fluffy long lasting head. Superb aroma of fruit (apricot and peach). Strong fruity taste with some citric hint and lots of hoppy bitterness. Great transgender Belgian to IPA.

300 ml on tap at Spring Beer Festival 2015. Dark gold, pretty hazy, with a tiny, bubbly off white head. Very unique nose, quite fruity (apricots and peaches), some bubblegum and estery notes, light hint of booze togheter with some citrusy presence. Tons of clean and juicy watermelon notes in the background. Slick and slightly sirupy, the warming sensation is there but perfectly integrated with all those other components. Moderately sweet and mildly tart, superb drinkability. Thirst quenching and quaffable just like a <4% beer. So good! World class beer, no doubts.

Transpartent light copper coloured beer with a white head. Smell is fruity bitterness. Cherries and lemon with on the background resin and a subtle touch of honey. Taste is bitter sweet and quite astringent. Heavy resin stickiness with a citric sweetness on top. Good balance. An honest beer.

Pours a hazy orange color with a huge white head. Aroma is citrusy hops, grapefruit, orange, apricot, doughy as well, very sweet. Taste is thick and creamy on the tongue, orange juice with a hint of apricot, no grapefruit like the nose had, doughy, weak floral, not a lot of hops or bitter until a few sips in. Overall very good but much different from most beers I’ve had.

Buona birra ibrida. Aspetto dorato carico, torbido, frizzantezza contenuta. Aromi agrumati, erbacei, buccia d’arancia, mandarino. Sapore subito amaro agrumato, poi dolce, mieloso. Difetta forse nell’amaro finale.

Tap @ Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Nothing very specific in this beer but very well balanced, nice bitterness, abv very well hidden. Good!
