Commercial Description:

Very nice, fresh and tasty pale ale. Pours an amber color with a nice white head. Nice tropical fruity aroma with notes of pineapple. Flavour is hoppy and dominated by wonderful tropical fruits. Juice-like character. Nice lingering resin-like bitterness. Medium bodied.

Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival 2009. Amber color. Sweet aroma with juicy hops, lemon and tart fruitiness. Juicy and fruity hops dominate the flavor with rhubarb, lemon, crisp bitterness and some toffeish malt in the background. Pleasant crisp hoppy ale.

Golden amber with a big fluffy white head that leaves lots of lacings. The smell has a wonderful hop character. Lots of grapefruit, lemon peel and pine-needles. Notes of tobacco and hop resins. Very intense juice-like character. Hints of malts beneath all the hops. Refreshing. The taste follows suit. Some notes of caramel, but most importantly lots of hop flavors, mostly grapefruits and other exotic fruits but also pine-needles and hop resins. Hints of tobacco. The finish is quite bitter with lingering hop notes and unfortunately a hint of aluminum. The taste is not as good as the smell. It’s not as fresh and clear-cut. Medium body, smooth texture. Very easy to drink. Well done. Actually, very well done. This is probably the best hop-forward Swedish beer I’ve tried so far. It’s very American in character, and could probably go head to head with many American pale ales. This one has raised the bar for Swedish brewers doing hoppy beers. Draught at SBWF and at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Pours out in a clear pale amber colour with a rich dense white foam. Rich fruity hop aroma of flowers, kiwi, starfruit, Seville oranges and red grapefruit. Medium-bodied with hop aromatic fruity notes of grapefruit, gooseberries, kiwi and orange-peels on a rounded malt foundation of caramel. Long aromatic bitter finish of resin, gooseberries and grapefruit.

Draft at SB&WF09 - Clear copper amber beer with a large frothy head. Aroma is very fruity with notes of tropical fruits, passion fruits, litchi and loads of fresh fruity hops. Aroma is malty with notes of caramel, ripe fruits and even more of the fruity amarillo hops. Wonderfully well balanced beer with a nice medium body. Borderline IPA, and a definite must.

On draught at The Rover, Göteborg. Crystal clear, copper colour, with rich, creamy head. Plain hop-juice aroma, very intense and outstanding - I hardly ever sensed such aroma in a Swedish beer before. Flavour is fruity and grapey. No maltiness really, this is all about hops, and I thought a blend of varieties were used. I sensed grapes, mandarines, strawberries, lime, white wine. The bitterness comes early, stays there all along until after, when it turns salty, after a long cob-webby mouthcoating sensation. Ultra American beer here, close to a US IPA! Really good!

On-tap. The Rover. Gothenburg. Golden amber colour with an off-white head. Aroma: hoppy, fruity, also some pine. Flavor: hops, citrus, fruit, caramel, pine, only light grape notes. Fresh, fruity and hoppy, with a smooth, balanced bitterness and lots of amarillo hops. Just the way I like my APA´s.
