COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Det är nu sju år sedan vi började höja temperaturen i vörtpannan för första gången. Under dessa år har vi lärt oss av misstag och av vetgirig envishet. I denna jubileumsöl testar vi amarillohumlen en gång till. Första gången var för ett år sedan då vi hade ett tillfälligt sommaröl på fat som hette Summer Twist. Nu är det bara amarillo humle som kontinuerligt humlats under senare delen av koket. Vi har även torrhumlat med amarillo. Doft och smak är mer bärigt fruktig än citrusfruktig som blir resultatet med centennial och cascade humling. Amarillo kommer oxå från USA men som vi upplever det skiljer sig markant från de humlesorter vi normalt har arbetat med hittills. Ölets alkohol (5,9%) och restsötma bär tydligt fram humlesmakerna. Färgen är kopparfärgad och maltgivan innehåller även cirak 15 procent vetemalt vilket framkallar en tydlig och utdragen beska. Beskan är 50 IBU vilket är ganska mycket men karktäristiskt för öltypen som vi kallar amerikansk pale ale men i gränslandet till en amerikansk india pale ale. Detta öl kommer ut 1 februari 2010 på Systembolaget under namnet Oppigårds Amarillo Spring!

Bottle from Systembolaget, Stockholm, Sweden. Aroma has hint of pine and yeast. Pours a golden, clear colour with a nice white foam. Taste is butter and crisp, pleasant long finish. Mouthfeel is refreshing, medium thickness.

Bottel at Copenhagen Beer Festival 2011. Golden colour with a nice off-white head. Aroma and flavour of malt, hops, fruit and caramel.

Bottle. Creamy whiye good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Moderate malty and heavy hoppy aroma. Nice flowery notes. Heavy bitter really nice flavor. Long heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate. Great brew.

golden with some head nose is a litle sweet with peach liqueur bitter with nice length and some body Taste is hamonic with peach, bitterness and a light caramel A really nice and not to bitter beer

Sample @ CBF. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are rich hops, flowers, citrus, peach and malt. Nice bitter finish.

Draft at The Bishops Arms Folkungagatan. Bright golden, large beige head. Aroma of pine and citrus. Taste is moderately bitter citrus. Nice.

Tap at Oliver Twist in Stockholm. The pour is a clear orange with a giant, ice cream float head with infinite retention and big time lacing. Aroma is fresh, fruity, citrus hops, fresh grapefruit. Taste is sharp, buttery, bitter, nutty bitter, tannic, melon and tropical hops. Palate is very bitter, dry. Pretty smack your face APA.

Bottle. Pale Gold white head. Fruity, floral, hoppy nose, peaches, grapefruits, citrus, malt, pine needles. Off-dry, medium body, high bitterness. Fruity, very hoppy taste, apricots, peaches, hops, grapefruit, spices. (2010-12-07)

UPDATED: MAR 25, 2011 On tap at Ölrepubliken. Amber gold with some red color, thick foamy white head. Grassy aroma with a small amount of grain and grapes. Taste of caramel malt, grass and citrus fruits. Missing something in the finish, but still a good beer!
