3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap @ Nabokjelleren (Naboen), Bergen. Clear, deep orange body, medium foamy top. Nose is strong vanilla tones with hints of citrus, honey and spruce. Taste is quite original, starting off with a distinct grassy, grapefruit-like bitterness followed by some malty tones with notes of nougat. Or something a bit similar, at least. Traces of herbs - is it oregano? - in the aftertaste. A bit strange, and the various flavors seem to bounce into each other rather than compose anything substantial. Very different from other Amarillo-style IPAs I’ve had, and although this is an APA it’s still kinda weird. Not too bad, but definitely not my style.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark yellow with a large creamy off white head. A good bunch of lacing. Aroma is way fresh, loads of hops, and a spicy note that I can’t pin down. A bit of candied apple. Apricots or pineapple. Tropical fruits at least. Flavour is well balanced. Very harmonic until the very bitter, long finish takes over. Medium bodied, sparkly carb, but not fizzy. This was really nice, wish I had access to this fresh whenever.

An intoxicating aroma of flowers and grass. The taste is a refreshening balance of citrus, apples, with some hop bitterness and subtle maltyness. Aftertaste has nutty characters. Overall a very pleasant experience of a beer

On tap @ Patricks. Amber body with a small off-white head. Nice citric aroma with peaches, grapefruit and some pine. Flavor is quite light malty with lots of citric and a fine balanced bitterness. Not particular complex, but a really nice thirst-quencher.
