COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Douberd (1999) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - DEC 5, 2013
Bottle 330 ml at home, into a tulip glass. ABV 5.9% Pours a crystal clear beer, deep golden orange in colour, with a good sized off-white head. Thick, with good retention and beautifully formes lacing rings around the glass. Aroma of hops, lots of citrus, some caramel malts, tropical fruits. The tropical fruits are more notable on the taste, again citrus, some clear malts.Mildly bitter, with good duration. Medium thin on the body, carbonation is okay, towards the lower side. Mild dryness on the palate. Overall great, very drinkable.

Franzen (269) - SWEDEN - NOV 23, 2013
Mostly tropical fruits in the aroma. Some citrus and caramell as well.
Clear amber with white head
Some malty sweetness in the background, but the bitterness is the main player as it shoulld be. The finish is mostly bitter but with a bit to much sweetness,
Light body, lively carbination dry texture.
It is a nice IPA but a bit to sweet and as for other single hop IPAs using only one hop give lacking complexity in the aroma.

Wonderful Amarillo aroma, really pleasant. Light copper colour, off-white head. Malty, herbal, hint of citrus, bitter not so pleasant. As a home brewer i think i recognize the use of dry yeast, Fermentis. The test we have done gives a really bitter, long lasting, unpleasant taste. The older the beer get the more unpleasant. I am sad to say that i taste this in most of the swedish craft brews of today. Sad! Why can’t you use fresh and healthy yeast?? Amarillo is a low co-humulone variety and should not be bitter. Fresh yeast pls.
